Yea, same car. Opel is the German make, Vauxhall is British, and Holden is the Australian equivalent. Of course, I'm still trying to find a Chevrolet badge to fit it.....

'99 Contour SE 5 speed (known as Silvie) is my other ride, at least for the rest of this week. She's being sold to save up for an '05 Mustang GT (if it makes it to market with most of the show car features in tact). The Contour runs low 14's at mid 95-ish MPH with full interior, stereo, spare, etc. all in place. Here's a list of the most important mods...

Engine Modifications:

3 liter!!!!!!!!!!!! value-->$1,500 plus $1,500 installation
12" S&B filter, 4.25" mouth 6" base
SS Transition pipe from 3.5"-4.25"
Modified Pro-Flow 75mm Bullet (Custom one piece CAI and MAF with integrated 4.25" transition) value-->$200
24# Ford Racing injectors value-->$280
Pro-Flow cockpit adjustable MAF calibrator (to control injectors) value-->$200
Solid engine mount and roll restrictors (reduce wheel hop as well as drop several pounds) value-->$285
SVT throttle body value-->$100
3L upper intake, ported
3 liter lower intake with secondaries removed
gutted manifold cats (eliminates flow restrictions as well as drops weight) value-->$75
true dual 2" mandrel bent exhaust (custom made) value-->$300 plus $195 installation estimate at 3 hour shop rate
SHO-Shop aluminum underdrive pullies (stock belt and pullies included) value-->$180

Suspension modifications:

Roush springs (1.2" drop all around) value-->$120
17X7 Superior Scoundrels w/ 235/40/17 Kumho 712's value-->$320
Relocated battery to the trunk
SVT front brakes (larger than standard Contour rotors) value-->$100

Gotta love parents. And no, I'm not one of those rich kids that my parents buys me everything. I bought each of my vehicles fairly cheap and did some work to get them all nice.

Daily is 88 TA, but now it's changin spots. My 95 will be daily and 88 will be sunny day. I'm starting to reckognize the rareness of a decent looking thirdgen, so I'd like to keep it that way.

Here is the 95 TA, T56, fully loaded
