Are wheel adaptors safe

I'm looking to get the 18" z06 replica rims, but was wondering if the wheel adaptors are safe enough to hold 400+hp.
I've seen lots of members rides and was just wondering?
I didn't upgrade the rear to 4th gen yet(hoping next winter).

So if I where using the adaptors what is the max tire size that I can use for the front and rear?

let me know, thanks

18's all around.

however i have not driven them to their potential because my engine isn't broken in so i can't fully vouch yet. i've been told that the adapters will not cause a problem and i don't see how it could. with the new power i have now i will blow my rear before i break a stud.

I would say they are safe for street use on street tires. If you roadrace or dragrace with slicks then they might not be safe.

Skulte road races with his. As long as they are installed right and bolted down, they will be fine.

Revlimit hasn't had any problems with his; if he can't break them with all the stuff he does, then I'm not worried about breaking them!

i would think that drifting wouldn't put nearly as much stress on them as racing with slicks.

but i don't see the adaptor being the week point, i think the weekpoint would be the studs, and the studs should see about the same forces adaptor or not.

i agree with the stud point.

make sure you get at least an 8 grade

i have 10 grade titanium on mine........supposedly. i've heard of people trying to get by on as little as 6 and snapping them clean off. doesn't sound fun to me.

I'd say as long as the studs are of high quality you should see no problems. I put a **** load of stress on my wheel adapters with drifting and also taking turns with road race tires on them. And I've had no problems. I checked out the studs and checked all the torque on the lugnuts and their all still perfectly fine. (side note: I also have the Skulte adapters)
