http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6782
let me know. i see that is 5x4.75(120mm) but the offest is +38.
any info would be great. i seen this post about using bmw rims:
https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...&highlight=bmw
but what does the offest have to do with anything.

i am a little confused, what does a fitment for a 4thgen have to do with fitting BMW wheels?
the wheels you posted (ebay) are a 4thgen wheel. they will need a spacer.
if you can find the exact same wheel for a BMW fitment, then it should fit without an adaptor.

thirdgens have a bolt pattern of 5x4 3/4 or 5x120.7..
bmws are 5x120
.7 doesnt do anything...
the offset simply means where the bolts holes are positioned from the middle of the rim itself..
+40mm is 40 mm forward (newer cams/firebirds)
-40mm is 40 mm behind the middle of the wheel...
so..you should be ok if you get a +40mm (back) and max of +18mm for the front
hope this helps

Hey, does anyone actually know the answer to this question, ive been looking for rims too and there are a whole lot more that say they will fit on 4th gens and not 3rd gens. You just need spacers for the front, but what size do I need. im thinking about eagle 211 series or maybee some newer C5 repros in 18in. Anyone know?

well if you read the posts this question has been answered a few times in this thread alone. Those are 4th gen wheels, you will need spacers for the front and back unless you plan on running a 4th gen rear, then you will only need the spacers for the front. look at iroc2nv's post, he tells you what size you need

I just got done doing my rims and tires, they are replica 2000 C5 wheels 18 x 9.5 wrapped in Kuhmo 712's 275 35 18, I think they look sweet, I will have pics in the next couple of days.

Dooski,
did you use spacer's between rim and hub,and if you did,how thick are they.I'm planning to put spacers between my rim and hub because rim is so cloce to steering linkages(17x8,5 et13 wheels front and rear)
