this is for the guys/gals that live in cental/socal areas (of california, in case ur wonderin) that have gotten a paint job recently (last year or so).

where did you go?

how did it come out?

what did you spend?

and finally, do you recommend them?

things are finally coming together for me and i need to put the last piece of the puzzle in... the paintjob... and i wanna do it right... thanks ahead of time for you help, or fer just lookin...

Well I got my front painted after it got tapped by an Asian lady by this body shop down the street. The owner there had a Hemi Charger and Dart. I will get you the name as soon as I find the card. The paint came out great on the car. When it is washed I can glide a towel across the hood and will fall of on the other side.

I have the exact same questions but I'm looking for a place in the Northern California area. I am willing to drive up to 3 hours. My car is really dull and chipping in a lot of places. I want my whole car sanded down to the metal. I want something good that will last. I've heard all the horor stories you guys tell about Maaco but I went to another chain just to get a quote and see what their sevice is like. I went to Miracle paint. They basically said that if you get a cheap paint job, you get a cheap paint job. For what I wanted, they quoted me about $4,000 including the door jambs and some very minor body work. But can you guys recommend any places up here in Northern California?

i am located in paso robles, just north of san luis obispo... i'm willing to drive down to l.a., if that is as far as i need to drive to get a decent paint job at a decent price...

goonie, no worries... i didnt even think of going north for some reason, i just associate custom car stuff with socal ... but if there's a shop up north, it makes no diff to me.. i'll meet ya there.. i just want whats best for my bird.. north or south ..

Paso Robles? I live here too... Try Team Auto Collision out on Monteray road. I just had a full custom paint job done on my Yukon and am VERY happy with the results. Ask for Ed.
