How am I supose to wash my car?
I know it sounds like a stupid question but;
The engine is going in my v6 firebird, I don't want to drive it anywhere. (the connecting rods knock)
It's winter here, I usually take it to the car wash to use the preasure sprayer.
I am selling my car and it's in the garage. The paint is nice.
But I dont want to sell it with it being dirty because of the snow/slush/salt.
How am I supose to do this?
I can not use a preasure sprayer nor a water hose.
It's -30C.
Any insite on how to do it without scratching the paint?
thanks

only thing i can think of if you are that desparate is a 100% wet cotten rag or old t-shirt. Wipe if each area at a time, be sure not to use a dirty side of the rag each time you go over a new section of the car.
an alternative is to get a bucket of soap and water from inside your house, and get another big bucket of water, and then wash and rinse(with bucket of clean water).

Without proper water flow, you will scratch the car, plain and simple. People manage to lightly scuff they paint with flowing water and a sponge. Without sufficient water, you will be rubbing the dirt across the paint with no lubrication. It's your car.. I wouldnt do it.

Try going to the car wash late at night when there is not much traffic. Drive there really slowly and go as easy as possible on the motor. There is not much washing you can do at -30C.

ok, i just cleaned up my car and its in the garage too. i took some spray cleaner from rain x and it ate through the dirt and waxed up the paint. then take a gm waxed rag (if you have one or can get one) and buff out the car. you never have to use water, just spray and wipe away.
