polished aluminum?

polished aluminum?

i know that aluminum can be polished, and i also know that it oxidizes very fast. when the aluminum oxidizes the polished look goes away. is there anyway to polish aluminum and then seal it so it will stay shiney? i really need to know becaus ei am looking to do some custom interior work with aluminum and i want to have that polished and stay polished. thanks for anyone that can help me out

Clear powder coating is about your best bet against losing the polished look. Regular clear coat paint won't stick very well to the polished surface...

whats this clear coat powder? is there anything else like maybe abother metal/polish combination that will work better even.

Axle/Gears: 9 Bolt, 3.45
It doesn't oxidize all that fast. Ive never had any oxidize any faster than car paint, just every now and then polish it a bit and its good to go.

normal maintenance is all you need and i have yet to find a off the shelf type clear that will hold up.
