Pics of shaved door moldings...
Does anybody have any pictures of Firebirds/Formulas/Trans Ams (preferably Formula but any 'bird will do) with this body molding stuff running along the side of the car removed?
I know I'm going to get yelled at by a few and told how I'm just asking for dents and dings in my door but I want to know what it would look like shaved off, I thought it might give a nice clean appearance, but then again I don't want it to look too bland.
(The stuff running directly through the middle of the door)

When we repainted mine we decided to leave it off. It really sleekens the car and shows of the fact that the handles are shaved...
I have really grown to like it....

Here is a pic of it when I had the car shabved, but still had the moldings. Granted mine were black to set off and go with the black gfx...The car is also pinstriped here and is not anymore...

Thanks Shannon.... I don't think I ever really paid much attention to the side moldings being gone on your car.
I'm still gonna have my door handles though so it'll be somewhat different.

Hehe you must not have read the second post it's cool though. Thanks for the Photoshop job.
Thanks for the compliment on the no-spoiler. If my car were to keep that appearance I would probably keep the spoiler off. However, I'm getting a Ram-Air II hood and I think it would look a little weird to have all that up front and then nothing on the rear deck, kinda unbalanced. The current plan is to put a fourth-gen style wing on the back.

Here's a shot of mine without side molding and dorr handles. I wanted a sleek appearance for the doors. Plus masking over the side moldings would have been a major hassle. plus I like it when people go to get in the car and reach fro the handle. I never seen so many people look so confused in my life, especially when I pop the door open with the remote.

I'll have to take some of the completed interior. Still haven't gotten around to it yet. Here is one thought I do have of when i was putting in the stereo. Doesn't really show the whole interior though.

I have always thought that car looked amazing. Don't think I have ever seen interior shots though... looks sweet from what can be seen from that last one
