There is a seam if you look at the signal from above. teh factory glued it together with something. It was not coming apart for me, so I atually got a cut off wheel for the dremel and used it to cut the seam open. Here is a pic of it after i separated it and stripped off the old paint. It was pretty chipped up, so I opted strip & reshoot it.
I then cut out the amber lens that is normally there. I angled mine for a more unique look...

Man I wish I knew what I snagged them off of. I was grabbing any clear stock lens I could find that day...I did not know if any would work, so I did not really pay attention. I know it was an 80s Gm sedan. Big help, right!? The lens was in the front bumper. I need to grab some more just in case something happens to one of them...stray rock or something. I will try to remember to look for them next time we go. I will tell you what they came off of if I can figure it out...I would give you a prt Number, but I don't think that GM can referance off those anymore...

I dod not get any good shots of the clear lens after i trimmed the edges. The roll of film did not turn out. So I lost a whole bunch of needed pics. Honestly the clear lens fit with only slight trimming. If you will look on the pics of the clear lens, you will see teh holes where they mounted stock. Well I had to very lightly dremel the top egde right there...that was it. From there the stock guides (tabs on the clear lens) fit up to the brid front and the natural step on the clear lens fit into the hole at teh back of the bird lens. I was amazed that they just fit together so perfectly. Again I only had to trim the edge on one side of the 2 lenses. I think I have some above shots of the clears...let me look...Crap the computer has frozen and I can't get to the disk. I will look up what I ahve and post them once I reboot. Darn computers.

Pic from above before the bird front was attached. Sorry it took so long. I'm really not supposed to be online at work...

Ok you can see there is a tab on the bottom. The bird turn signal front actually rests on this, so the tab is on the outside edge and visible. There are tabs on the near edge in the pic. They also sit just on the outside edge of the bird front. You can see the center where the lens is is raised. This actually fits just perfect inside the inner walls of the bird turn signal front. I hope this gives you enough to work with. Seems you never know at the time what pics to take.
