tips on powder coating rims
i want to powder coat my IROC rims using the almost chrome color for the polished part, and a light silver for the other parts, just like the way the stock rim looks. whats the best way for doing 2 tone's?
any pics of a powder coated rim would be great.

You can powder coat your wheels, but the almost chrome isn't the best choice. I've talked to a couple of people about almost chrome, and most say that it's not nearly as durable to others, so they recommend you place clear over it. In doing so, you'll dull the shine. You can do a two tone pretty easily by masking it. Not hard really.
Chris will tell you, you need to clear coat it as well. That's the olny real downside to the chrome powder coat. You might want to think about polsihing the part you want almost chrome, spray the other part like you said, then have it powder coated clear to protect it all.

Has anyone seen a translucent white powder? I'm looking into shooting my rims in near chrome and then shooting it again with the translucent white - kind of trying to match a pearl white look.
Anyone seen that? I've checked at eastwood and no dice.
