the frame is over also.......i looked at the pics in the classified ads. is the car covered? if not, you probably have some wires and hoses that have dry rotted or are completely shot. i paid $2200 for my wrecked convertible and it was only hit in the quarter. it was nowhere near as damaged as your car. i work at e&w body shop in Memphis and as a former bodyman (now estimate writer) i see about $4200 worth of work. if i paid you $3000 and then spent $4200, that would leave me spending $7200, and if i totalled it the same day i fixed it, insurance value is $5825 w/ good mileage. it would cost more than it's worth. shoot for $1700 or $2000 at most.......

Must have money burning a hole in your pocket, that thing needs a lot of work. At the least a whole front clip and frame work.

If anyone actually read my classified ad, I told you that I HAVE ALL THE PARTS NEEDED to finish the car. And a complete speed density TPI to put on this car. All you really need is time and a paint job. But because I'm leaving for the Middle East at the end of Jan, I don't have the time, and it's been sucking my money. Just read my classified ad. I understand that this car is not going to be something that everyone is looking for. It's always nice to buy turn key and go. But if you look at the cost of this car plus the money needed to finish it. And then look at what it would cost you to buy one right now. And I would sell for $500.00 less if you don't want the TPI unit. The only thing that this car lacks that a Z28 didn't, is that this car has a drum rear end (is a posi unit!), smaller sway bars than the Z28, and the motor option. And I have everything here except for the disc rear. Although I have a buddy who's selling one from a 4th gen if your interested. So anyways.........

Dude, not to be mean, But.......
Ok FLYNLOW92rs, you should have read the ad first. And not to be mean, but..... Why the hell did you destroy the looks of a camaro by putting a lawnmower handle on your car? Almost looks as bad as ****! I can say that my car is wrecked, but it was called a blond. What's the excuse for your car? To be nice though, if you don't mind going slow, I guess that it doesn't hurt to have more "form" than function.

I know, I was just adjitated. And it was supposed to say R.I.C.E. and for some reason, it was **** out?? Oh well... If it wells it sells. If not, I still own my favorite 3rd gen body style. I'll just have to continue to be patient and keep on.

just a quick note .... i bought a 92 rs here in nebraska with only 68k on it been sitting in shed for bout 8 yrs as i got it from a guy who let his kids drive it & (stupidly) they tryed to put the top down going down the road ( & yes it really does like in the movies ) anyway .... i only gave 1800 for the car very nice shape other than missing a top. i would never give you even close to what you want for yours but will offer you 1500 & you can keep your extra front clip you got & your tpi system all i would want is the complete car as you got it to start with & then i could put on my car as yours would be way to expensive to even think about fixing ( im a exbody shop worker & know its lots money to rebuild front ends On camaros not worth doing inless its late models & top of line ones at that other than that there jsut a parts car let me know what u think & thanks for your time

I wouldnt buy it because of the damage to the unibody. It appears that the entire front end of the car is twisted and pushed to the passenger side. I think its one of those cars which [i]could[/] be fixed, but the body panels would never line up worth a crap. The chassis is trashed, you now have an RS Vert parts car.

to be honest with you, i've seen cars that were hit worse trhan that and be repaired. i totally agree with you though. this isn't a car for someone other than a body man that doesn't mind the time on working on the vehicle. by looking at the photo, the upper rail looks as if it is still intact and that the front is pushed over only at the point of impact. the thing that concerns me is the state of the frame (chassis) itself. sometimes pictures are worse than in person. if i get a chance, i may just go look at it this weekend.....

I agree with that. I did go to a tech school back in Alaska for 2 years for Auto Body Collision & Repair. And it bent over the braces' for the fenders, and the front of the bumper support mounts. And then pretty much crushed the radiator support brace. It also caused the factory sbc on the pass side to break some welds. And it lets the pass side sag just slightly. When I put a jack under that side, it put it right back in place. And if I do finish this myself, I would also be reinforcing it with aftermarket sbc's just to be safe. I'd also had the idea to put in a stb. And I really still want to do it all myself, but lack all the tools that I need. And since I'm leaving here at the begining of Feb for the Middle East again, there's no way that I'd be able to have it done by summer when I got back. And what fun is a convertable, if you can't have the top down in the summer?

I'm even considering parting it out. If I get enough offers for parts, that will cover most of what I have into this, I'll do it.
