The law says that reverse lights MUST be white...As far as turn signals amber, white, and red are OK...Brake lights MUST be red....But yeah, RED turnsignals are legal.......
I believe you kinda sctrach the surface lightly, paint it with Transparent Candy Apple paint from a hobby store.....Put on some clear coat.....and bye-bye amber...
I did this to mine and should have pictures up next week....
I'm in the process of removing amber from my car, white bulbs for the front with clear signals, and the red taillight mod...

VHT Metal Tint also works well...I would imagine the new Duplicolor stuff would also, though I haven't tried it yet. Info on the tailight mod (for a Firebird, but its the same process) is at the bottom of the page, after the headlight and clear turn signal conversion.
