Actually I have seen a 3rd gen with 17X7 and 17X8 or 9 Cragar SS's. They looked great IMO. I think these cars are getting close enuf to being a classic.... Who cares??

I know if I had the money I would get a set. Then again I'd have a set of Draglites too

I want some Crager SS's also and as soon as I find a deal on some I am gonna do it. i will not worry about other's opinion because if I think it looks good I am gonna leave them on. If I don't I 'll sell them. If you want some just go for it.

I like the new 17" Cragar SS. They're cool.

I think it's OK to use them. It seems to be OK for someone to put ZR1 wheels on a '68 Camaro, so why not the other way around?

I'd say go for it, my brother had some 15's on his '78 T/A and it was pretty sweet, but I'd got with atleast 16's on a thirdgen, probably 17's would look the best.

Here's one I snagged off this site about a year ago. I think this Camaro looks very tough--just like a Camaro ought to

Hey Sitting Bull, just for the record those aren't Cragars, but a good look-alike made by Appliance Wheels. They were popular in the 80's... The giveaway is the center caps and the spacing between the spokes. Car looks sweet though..

I don't normally like sport coupes nor 15" wheels, but I do like yours. Looks real mean. Is it just me, or is a side exhaust you have.

Thanks for the pic. Now I know I don't want them. They don't look bad, they're just not what I'm wanting.

IMO, they look too flush. The center cap looks like it sits out as far as the bead of the rim. No good. Cragar S/S's have to have the deep dish look in the rear otherwise they look like you have front wheels on the back.

Try not to take it the wrong way. I just thought they'd be deeper than that (more reverse offset). Maybe I'm too old school and like the 10" look in the back.

I like the car SittingBull showed. That's the way S/S's are supposed to look in the rear, IMO.

You are obviously a gentleman and a scholar, and a fine judge of the way Camaros should look, too

This is the only wheel design I can honestly say that I think the 15's look much better than the 17's.

OK DevianB look at this pic and tell me how 15's look better than 17's

Not that the 15's don't look good, but the 17's are WAAAY better IMO.

sbrice18fan, the painted drums don't look right IMO. I know I tend to be very opinionated at times, but ask anyone else...painted drums just kinda suck

Paint 'em black. It would make a world of difference IMO.

Actually they are powdercoated, I like them and that is all that really matters. However, I do appreciate your opinion. That photo makes the drums really show up, but most people don't even notice them when looking at my car, until I show them.

IMHO TT 2's are a much nicer rimthan the crager's. My personal opinion is that the crager's are the ugliest rim ever made!

Thats cool... are you planning a rear disc upgrade? Powder coated calipers the same color as the car would be sweet.

Is your car done being painted? It looks like the same color as mine in that last pic.

rear disk brakes would be nice, but that will have to be a project down the road. The front calipars are powdercoated also.

As for the car, it is not done yet, it is taking more time than I thought it would. The goal is to lay paint the first week of December, I'll post photos when the car is complete.

Hmm...I'm undecided on this one. I've always liked the s/s rims, but I'm not quite sure about 'em on a thirdgen. They don't look bad by any means, but theres something about 'em that makes 'em look out of place on a thirdgen. However, they might look really sweet on a black car.

Devian, i am running the older style AR 200s's on my 88 formula. They are grey center with polished lip. They look really good, probably better than the chrome
