Fast and Furious Camaro Idea PART2

THIS IS A SERIOUS THREAD! NO FLAMING, KEEP IT CIVILIZED.

I don't know why the other thread got locked, but this is appearance related. I got a better picture of the car and put the stickers on. Here's 2 versions, one with nice rims as someone suggested, and one without. There's more detail in this picture. What do you guys think? I seriously would like to do this make in a week or two, so I would like some opinions and or suggestions...

Not to be mean, but that photoshop job doesn't do them rims justice. They look awesome on a 3rd gen.

I'm still not crazy about the graphics, I'm waiting for Captain America and the XMen to pop out of the car.

BEFORE you think about graphics get rims and a drop.........Then and only then should you think about getting some graphics....

After seeing the photoshop job i think it might look OK, but only with some rims and other appearance mods.....

Decals look STU-PID on a stock car......IMO

I barely like decals on commercial vehicles. I don't like how the decal covers almost the entire side of the car. It might look better if it was pinstipe size.

I didn't get to post in the last one, but I read it. I think if you do that, you will ruin the car. Those stickers look absolutely horrible. I'm sure a lot of your "boyz" will think they are "wicked phat", but expect people to not like the stickers if you get them. If you don't have an alarm, get one, because someone may even try to rescue that car and peel the sticker off.

I could care less if you do this...but my opinion (and if you don't like it I don't really care), if you put the big huge sticker on, then take the thirdgen.org sticker off. It's great when someone advertises a reputable site on a beautiful example of a thirdgen. You're representing us as a whole. Don't want any potential members thinking that we're a bunch of sticker wearing rice-em-out camaro/firebird guys. Yeah I said it...rice. Because to me, any car that has a decal that covers 3/4 the car and drastically changes the appearance of it...is riced.

You asked for my opinion so here it is. Flames only start when somebody responds to another's post in anger. Just let my opinion become part of the masses and be cool.

www,modernimage.net has a lot of decals to choose from, plus you can have one custom made. Before you decide on that decal, look at the alternatives because there are a lot of good ones.

Ok Im gonna be diff. I dont "like it" but it doenst look as bad as I expected. I'v seen that decal on the new cougars. ...talk about hideous.

I do agree that if you do it, I'd do rims and a drop first, maybe more power to, just to back up the "go get 'em" look. I'd be totally embarassed to have decals like that and get beat in a race.

Also I agree if you do that, then take off the thirdgen.org decal, for 2 reason. Main reason being that it doenst visually look good with all the detail and busy-ness of the decal then a big simple bold "thirdgen.org" decal. and the other reason, out of respect. I dont think it looks to bad, but about everyone else thinks it does, and you dont want to represent something, by advertising with something that almos the whole group doesnt agree with.

Well, if you could figure out what in the blue blazes that is.
Is it a uni-arm? Is he hitching a ride? Did he spill a bunch of darker blue paint all over your car as he flies by on the door at supersonic speed? Looks BAD IMHO.
I also agree to loose the thirdgen stickers if you do that.
Your car though, as long as you like it. I have a big purple dinosaur sticker on the side of my car (he's dancing.......with kids), I don't care what people say about it, cause I like it.

If you want a decal on your car,go 4 it!!! It's your car to do whatever you want to it.... IMO a decal that covers half the car looks sooooooooo stupid its not even funny, but its your choice...
PLEASE do not put the sticker from the fast and the furious though!! Theres enough rice is the world, we don't need more Domestic rice :lala:

I'm not to keen on the thirdgen.org sticker either. I only have 2 decals on my car. 1 is a small hose techniques sticker applied to the upper corner of my windsheild, only because I like the company so much. The other decal is my parking decal for SIU so I can obviously legally park my car on the campus. I love thirdgen.org, but not enough to put on my ride. I have a lot of parts stickers and decals, but I chose to just leave them in a folder unused. If the decal can be removed without loosening the paint finish then do it, although some people may make fun of you.

I think it looks alright, its different, not different enough for me to do it because its been done to death on ricers, Im not to keen on the guy robot whatever thing, but I like the graphics. im tired of seeing stripes and flames and solid colors, I my self have done these paint jobs and there boring, I like the direction your going, but thats a little too far.

why? its not a bad movie, its actually pretty good, they are nice cars, they arent "RICE" people say rice is car that have body kits, wings, decals, etc, but not power to back them up. The cars in the movie did. So what is wrong with a street racing movie with a real story line besides just racing.

I would have been more happy with the movie if it was strickly illegal street racing and had more domestic cars in it as well.

Fast and the furious was stupid because it was simply several hundred catch phrases mended together in a poor attempt to create a dialogue between characters. And thats besides the fact that half of what went on just plain didn't make ANY sense, AT ALL. I mean honestly, who in the hell double clutches in a race? Why would you double clutch a constant mesh synchro tranny in the first place? theres no point.....

Now back to this "graphic" i actually don't think it looks all that horrible. But it does look terribly out of place on your car. It matches nothing, AT ALL.

Thats just about as far as i can take it without turning this post into a giant flame. There several other "catch phrases" that came to my mind upon seeing this post, but i'll keep those ones to myself. Like everyone else says, do what you want with your car, but don't expect me or anyone else to agree with it, and don't expect us to keep our mouths shut when you make a post with a pic of your car and ask for opinions....

Damn I thought he said no flaming? Hey easySPEEDcamaro If you like it go ahead and do it. Just keep in mind there maybe a load of other people out there that have the same opinions as the people here. Something like that may run you a large bill also. If I were going to put something on my ride like that it would be some flaming sculls or something. Now that would rock and if someone didnt like it I would light them up infront of their house @ 2 in the morning.

>btw I did have to look at it for a while cause its a small pic and all. It kinda looked like someones azz.

I don't think it looks too awfully bloody horrible.... I might like it if it weren't Fast & Furious... I mean, it's just trendy.. if you came up with it on your own it wouldn't be so bad, but it just represents all the falsehood of F & F (dont' get me wrong, I still watch the movie now and then and I don't DESPISE it, but there's a lot of crap in it...)

that movie was a piece of garbage...... all those imports were setup for road racing... not drag racing, its so stupid. do you honestly thing a car w/ as much hp as those cars are suposed to have could actually hook w/ those blingin' rims and tiny profile tires? LAAAAAAAAME

well, like most of the people on here, i hate it. those decals don't look on any car let alone a carmaro.
but it is your car so if you really want it, then do it. it might even make the car goo faster!

Easy Speed, I would rather be imitated, than imitate something else myself. Here's a suggestion. If you really want to do something like that, why not try coming up with something truly unique?
