Aw, you guys are just mad because he has 20's and you don't.
I like the guy who said: " i must be mistaking.........don't you buy 20's to stand out? what on earth would be the point of having such a large "wagon" wheel if you would on a car only to cover them up with a dull finish?"
Have you ever seen 20's on a thirdgen? I haven't but i've seen them on a fourthgen, and they look HUGE. You don't see them and think 'Are those 17's?' Chrome or not, 20' inch rims are big and they look big. I could understand your sentiment if he'd powdercoated them black or something, but the silver is shiny enough from here.
Besides, if you look at this guy's web address, it has a .no exchange which, if i'm not mistaken, indicates that it originates from Norway, and as far as I know, there are no gangstaz in Norway, so there's no 'bling' factor to having 20's.

i apologize to all except for melloyello for the long post as it was meant to exploit his failing effort to explain to us how 20" rims are the next "performance/style" step in automotive evolution which was his intention wether he says it or not.
melloyello:
wow what beg sentences you can right....
i don't feel bad if you think i was trying to personally attack you; i was just proving your points wrong. you have failed to point out anything valid other than trying to point fingers and call me names. maybe you should seek some therapy. you know you meant to prove that 20" can be a performance wheel and they aren't....they are options for performance "minded" people that are more worried about looks. unlike the performance "geared".
you can say what you want, this is an open forum and i made my point that a 20" wheel is not a performance wheel, especially when compared to they're smaller class like a 18". you tried to argue my statement by giving examples that aren't valid and to try and hype up your ideals you continue to call me names. while it doesn't bother me, i do find it rather proving of your age and wonder if your dad had a hand in helping you.
rather than pic apart what you said to sink to your level i will simply leave it be knowing that my point was made and we have yet to see yours. i hope you learn to grow up. if you have a problem with me do it personally; don't take it out here where your wasting other peoples time.
:smiley with two middle fingers: (if i could find the damn thing)

I have another reason to post this pic.
I don't understand why so many people want their rims to stick out more than the car itself. Like Mr. IROCZ's car is a beautyful Camaro with 18'' wheels. Instead of these 20'' gold rims with a camaro around them.

"wow what beg sentences you can right"
-You're just asking to be made fun of here...seriously.
Kandied:
I proved my point precisely - whether your diminished intelligence can interpret the logical approach I took falls back on you.
1. If you include the 2003 Viper, there are 6 cars (all from recognized manufaturers) that come from the factory with 19" wheels, and one with 20" wheels
2. I explained why racing cars use 18" wheels as opposed to 20" wheels (tire height restrictions and tire thickness issues)
3. To counter my claims, you have offered only empty arguments, easily countered, and personal opinions. In order to successfully carry out an argument you have to back what you say with facts (you have obviously never been to college - or never finished).
4. You started attacking me, by claiming that I made up my facts, that I hadn't done my research, by implying my ignorance to what forged is, and by stereotyping me with 16 year olds. You messed with the bull, and you got the horns, buddy. Consider yourself gored.
Finally, you can keep thinking you're right, and remaining as ignorant as you wish, but know that ignorance does not win arguments.
*smiley handing kandied a dictionary* *smiley handing kandied a freaking clue* <--- couldn't find the icons

Car: 3 3rd Gen F-bodies and 7 others
Engine: 305 CFI, 350 TPI & 3.8 Turbo V-6
Transmission: all automatics (stock)
1---> The guy is from SWEDEN, not Germany
2--->New 350Z's come with 17's Stock, P225/50VR17.
I have pictures to prove it, got them right after it rolled off the truck at our local dealer. 18's are available, but as an option.
3---> I have read tests of vehicles where vehicles have been road tested with 15" wheels through 19" wheels. (Either Road & Track, Car &Driver, or Tire Rack Testing)
What is called going up to a +4 fitment.
The 17" wheel/tire combo provided the best handling, and lateral G-Force on the skidpad, and slalom testing, (On The test Vehicle)
As far as technical details, I'm not the expert, but It has been proven that Maximum Diameter wheel/tire combos don't always improve handling.
And I think those 20's look really good on that TransAm, but that is the only ThirdGen that I have liked (so far) with that big of a wheel.
My .02, now put away the Flame Thrower

Anyone see MTV cribs with "whips, rides and dubs" shaq has a Navigator i believe with 26" rims. that is biggest i ever seen or heard of!!! Biggest I've ever seen was 25"s on a Cad. EXT
I think to have big rims (20" +) your car has to flow well and have no gap in the wheel well. Someone mentioned most don't lower there car when they put 20's on and that does make it look
I have 315/35/17's on the back of my vette and wouldn't get anything bigger but I would like to get widder!! 12" wide and they still spin to easy!!
