Yes those rims are a great aftermarket choice, probably the best IMO, although I like stock rims on our cars the best.
I just wanna know, how did you get a 16.78@80MPH out of an 89 RS 2.8??

my car had a high stall converter in it and all among other things like cut airbox and accel supercoil, dynomax catback, 8mm plug wires, hypertech superchip, 165* thermostat. lost of other things. i blew the motor up as well as the high stall converter earlier this year. i have a fresh shortblock and heads, the block has bee bore .040 over and i have a transgo shift kit. i plan on putting a .423 lift cam in it which is pretty wild for this little v6 considering the cam in it right now is somewhere in the .370-.380 range. roller tip rocker arms are also in the near future. i would like to get a set of headers but i don't have the money for a custom set and i can't promise CHC money to get some from him, altough i would love to get them. (sorry CHC). possible port and polish heads and i keep thinking for some wierd reason to look into the 3.4 upper intak planum, cause i am sure it flows better. on top of all that, the bottom end of my motor can handle a 100hp shot of nitrous all day long. i wanna see about getting it into the 14's. something different any ways. thecar is going to corner like a dream.

what about backspacing? i wanna put an 8" on the back and the 7" up front. the only reason why i am doing that is cause the v6 won't work well with 10" wide tires. i wanna keep the v6 in it too. i know it's wierd but i wanna be different. i want respect for running low 15's high 14's with a motor based on a 2.8l. and yes, it is feasible!

Anyone running 16x8, I went to Americanracing web site and seen there are 2 different types. one with 4" backspacing/
-11.43mm offset and the other is 4.75"backspacing/7.62mm offset. I'm looking for a factory look, no tires sticking past the wheel wells and I don't like the deep dish look either. any help will do.
