Straightening out a tweeked fiberglass hood...
My hood is either warped, or was hit... it needs to be tweeked ever to slightly...
The leading edge needs to come up about 1/16th of an inch, and about 8 niches back, it needs to go down about 1/8-1/16th of an inch. On the other side, I need to raise the fender edge about 1/16th of an inch...
Can I heat it and try to bend it back into shape? Pour boiling water on it? Feather it with a torch?

Someone mentioned here somewhere that they used a heat lamp/IR lamp to gradually heat up their glass hood and tweak it ever so slightly. May want to give it a shot - but don't use a heat gun or torch as I would think that would give too much heat to too small of an area.

Last I hear everyone hated the Daytona turbo hood... it grows on some I know, but the general consensus is that it's white trash. Well call me white trash, because I love it, and I know alot more will like it once it gets painted and it gets gold stripes.
P.S. Thanks for the tip about the heat lamp, I'll give it a try. I'll also look at the possibility of hood pins, I don't like how much it flops at 90 MPH...

Tell you what use the hood pinz cause they are cool then park your car here in texas for 1 day in the mid of the summer. That would bend it to your liking. Baked @ 110 would do it. Or take it to arizona and bake it at 120!
