I'm not sure what you're wanting to change, there's really not much you can change. You can change the tranny dipstick for a thirdgen one, that'd clean it up some. Can't do much with the wiring harness. Here're some tips: Paint the intake manifold, get corvette plastic valve covers, paint the water pump black, paint the accessory bracket black, you can chrome the alternator, get corvette fule rail covers with chrome lettering. A nice TB plate.
Get the black anodized PS pulley, Alternator pulley to match the black bracket.
I don't have any pics online of what my engine bay looks like now, but I think it looks damn good. So does my friend Brett's, his looks damn good too. Make it tasteful, look at 4th gen cars a lot for dress up ideas, and ideas will come. If you're looking for thridgen LT1 ideas, all I can offer you is use thirdgen dipsticks instead of the 4th gen ones, it'll look more low key, and fit the engine bay better.

Ok well I've bought a polished aluminum overflow bottle, battery cover.
that 90 degre angle fiting for the waterpump looks really sweet.
I've already painted the waterpump black so as the trottlebody cover and the pulleys.
removed the windshield wyper bottle.
I've redone my air intake setup
I'd like to clean up the spot where fuel pump relay and fan relays are locate, I think I'll relocate that somewhere else.
My wiring is so messy... it doesn't look good at all.
I'll post pics tommorow.

Looks good Mark. I've been thinking about grabbing a set of the Corvette covers, but I think instead I'm going to get a set from RKSport that are made for the Camaro, so they dont have to be modified for the fuel lines. Plus, you can get custom billet panels for them that say whatever you want, they're pretty sweet but kinda expensive. Have you gotten any times with the LT1?
Also, where did you mount your ECM? Right now mine is mounted on a plate that bolts right above the fuel rails, and is basically like the plenum extension on the TPI's, it mounts the ECM horizontally over the back of the engine. I'm considering pulling it off, extending all of the wires, and mounting it in the factory 3rd gen position this winter. That would help clean up the engine bay tremedously.

found a photo of mine. this is probably right after I did the swap, and alot of things have changed since then. The computer is now mounted where the MSD is, I have an LT4 intake, cleaned up almost all of the wiring and hoses. but you get the idea.

Hey Tex. I run DFI so my ECM is in the stock location. I like the vette covers cuz my motor is really out of a vette, and the plastic matches the vette valve covers, so I'm goonna leave it as is. I just put on chrome raised lettering to accent the corvette lettering, but I don't have pics of it. No times yet, I'm still playing with the tuning before I go hit the track with full force.

Mark, sounds good. what DFI are you running, Accel? I've been thinking about switching over the the LS1 style ignition with individual coil packs, I'm getting tired of the frickin opti-crap. but that'll be a ways down the road. yeah we both need to get some new photos. I'm finally going to update my site with some new information about the swap and stuff, so that should be up soon. I guess when I get home at Thanksgiving I'll take all the photos I've been meaning to for a while. Yeah I'm still working on my tuning some, something still doesnt seem right, but its close enough for now. Im considering just breaking down and getting LT1 edit and learn how to tune it myself, seems to make more sense in the long run.

I think it would depend on the heads, cam, intake, and carb you currently have. With all of the mods in my sig, I think I'm pushing around 420 hp. You would definitely get better gas mileage, but other than that I'm not real sure if you would see any power gains. Like I said, I think would totally depend on what you've got right now.

I can't believe I am not done with mine yet.......Actually, I can believe it since my TPI swap took me 9 months (I did more than a TPI swap, did body mods and wheel swaps as well).
January is when I should have the motor in the car.

At least you found a way to put that LT1 in your car, I can't wait to see the first person with and LS1 in a thirdgen, if that is even possible (??? ???) Hey, maybe when my 3.1 dies in five years I'll do it myself. Your Corvette engine intake covers look good, it just looks weird with Corvette written on them when its in a Camaro.
