Mold/Bug eggs (?) growing on car & cover...
I put a cover on my car for two days, and when I go to take it off, there is this weird hairy mold looking stuff growing in small 1" patches on the top of the cover, under the cover, and on the car. I have no clue what it is, I've never seen it before. It didn't rain on the cover or anything. Any ideas as to what it is? The only thing I could think of what either mold or bug eggs.

Well, I'm not sure what the spots are, but if they are bug eggs just pull them off and that will be the end of it. If it is mold, make a dilute solution of bleach in water, with a little alcohol as a wetting agent, test to make sure it won't change the color of your cover, then wipe down the moldy areas with the solution. If it comes back, try a stronger solution.

The crap is on the car, too, not just the cover, so I don't want to bleach it. It's not like it's stuck on the car, cause it comes off really easy. And no, it wasn't under trees, it was out in the open. And no, it didn't look like the bug eggs in those pics I will take the digital camera out there and post some pics of it.

Chocolate Covered Crickets
25 adult crickets
Several squares of semisweet chocolate
Prepare the crickets as described above. Bake at 250 degrees until crunchy (the time needed varies from oven to oven). Heat the squares of semi sweet chocolate in a double boiler until melted. Dip the dry roasted crickets in the melted chocolate one by one, and then set the chocolate covered crickets out to dry on a piece of wax paper. Enjoy! This is a little time consuming to make, but definitely worth it...the crickets are deliciously crunchy!
Ant Brood Tacos
2 tablespoons butter or peanut oil?
1/2 pound ant larvae and pupae
3 serrano chilies, raw, finely chopped
1 tomato, finely chopped
Pepper, to taste
Cumin, to taste
Oregano, to taste
1 handful cilantro, chopped
Taco shells, to serve
Heat the butter or oil in a frying pan and fry the larvae or pupae. Add the chopped onions, chilies, and tomato, and season with salt. Sprinkle with ground pepper, cumin, and oregano, to taste. Serve in tacos and garnish with cilantro. (Not living in an area exceptionally prolific with ants, I have never been able to try this recipe. But it sounds perfectly delicious! I found it in 'Creepy Crawly Cuisine', an excellent recipe book.)

Do as Sciguyjim said but you don't do it to ya car just the cover & make sure your cover is kept dry when not being used.

I can't think of anything that will kill the mold yet be gentle on your paint and wax. The best thing to do would be to keep everything clean and ventilated. Maybe the petroleum solvents in the wax or polish will kill any remaining mold. I'd look for something to use as spacers between the car and cover so there is room between them for air to circulate.

That is possible. The mold is growing in places where there actually was plenty of space between the cover and the car, like under the mirror. But it is very possible that it isn't breathing underneath the cover very well.
