Im not trying to turn you away from them but I had a set and they rattled like crazy. I had two ten inch subs in there and that made it even worse. granted it kept my interior a bit cooler but I didnt think it was worth all the racket they made so I lost them and delt with the extra heat. Who knows though maybe you can try it and get lucky and not have any rattling Im just putting in my $.02 because Im bored.

I had a set on my '86. They didn't really rattle much at all, and i loved them. The only reason i had them, and don't still have them is because a gust of wind ripped off a few of the top rows when i was heading home at around 170kph one day

JC whitney makes still has some. They look like the factory style, but they are more rounded off. Thats really about it. You can get them through Thirdgen Resource or Hawks used for about $250 or less.
I had them for 3 months on my bird. They don't sit flush with the glass. There is about a 1/2 inch gap between the louvers and mounting points. At speeds over 80mph, the wind gets into the gap and pushes the louvers up, which in some cases causes them to literally fly off. They also add 27 pounds to the rear despite being aluminum and plastic. They can be made to be quiet, but it takes a bit of effort. Also the sun fades the louvers horribly so they end up looking gray, which really sticks. They leave water spots and leaves and twigs get caught in them so the glass has to be cleaned on a more regular basis. I made the mistake of puting my louvers on in a windy day. Needless to say I bent the top slats and mounting hardware. I am done with my louvers for good. The people on this board are only telling you not to put them on them because they have experience with them and know all of the consequences associated with them. l had to actually have them on my car to realize that they were horrible. If you want to put them on your car, then do it. There's only a few people who actually keep them on. We are just trying to help you avoid spending that cash on something you may regret. Louvers are very contraversial looking. Only a handful of cars look good with them. Armadillos come to mind.

Anybody looking for factory louver parts? I purchased 2 complete sets of 91/92 louvers and made 1 complete set for my IROC . The reason for 2 sets, was the 91/92 has the CHMSL and my IROC does not. I took 2 slats from one set to replace the 2 slats with the light provisions. The remaining parts are the 2 ABS curved pieces, 2 91/92 slats with the CHMSL provisions, 2 complete mounting kits ( 1 set had 2 mounting kits in it) and the remaining slats. There are supposed to be 10 slats, I took slat 2 and slat 5. If someone has a damaged set, they can build a brand new set from what I have. If interested, let me know and make an offer. These factory sets are getting hard to find and expensive.
