FINALLY! The new pics of my Z w/ TTII's
Well I have not posted any new pics of my car in a while so I thought I would post of the new rims. I just got the rims and I have ordered Eibach Pro Kit springs for it that will be in next week. The rims are 17x8 TTII's w/ 5.5 backspacing and 255/40/ZR17 Kumho Ecsta Supra tires. There is also a pic of my engine since I rebuilt it and polished everything.

Looking really good . I saw that you are running kumho 712
tires and I was wondering if you had any pictures from behind. I
plan on running these tires and was wondering if the center channel
in the tread makes them look more narrow than they are (I have
heard that it does).

I am a huge fan of the firebirds, and not real big on the styling of the Camaros, but that my friend is the baddest looking third gen Camaro I have ever seen. The only and I mean only thing I would change is the rear wing. I never liked the high rise wing. I can now say there is a Camaro that I wish to own.

The paint looks nice, its hard to get a flame job to look nice on a thirdgen. I really don't care for the wheels though, the TT II's are overrated IMO, but hey, whadda I know, lol

I appreciate all the compliments, guys. I will be posting more pics when I get the springs put on. Nazzz28: the Kumhos do look a little more narrow than they are, but they are a great tire for the price and they hook up really good. Here is a rear view of the car you can see a little bit of the tire.

Thank you for the pictures. I order my set of 4 today from
tirerack.com. I got the 255/50-16's for $89 a tire and it's good
to here that they are still high quality tires.

those are very good tires ... I made the mistake of putting them on my mustang for a drift session and I could not make the car slide. kinda ruined my fun but those tires grip like a ****!!!

Once again thanks for all the compliments.
89RustangRemover: The cover isn't broke that is the light reflecting off the taillight.
LPE383:I have always liked the way the TTII's looked, they look aggressive. Also I am the only thirdgen in my area with them so far, so they are different.

Attention Tom Keliher: Aren't you the guy that used to tweak a late 80's formula 350 for HPP? Or am I just thinking of someone else? In the event you don't see this question, I may post it again as a new thread. I just know that I've heard your name before. Hmmmmm.

I have always loved the wheels, but I hate the fact that everyone wants them. They make any car they are on look great. The flames are cool as hell too. Only one recommendation.... take the little stickers off the taillight covers. It'll look much cleaner IMO. A razor blade and some rubbing alcohol will take them right off.

Thanks again for all the compliments...
IROC57TPI: Yeah, when I first got the covers I left the stickers on because I wanted everyone to know I had GTS cover , but I have since realized they look stupid. As a matter of fact think I will go remove those in a second.
TransAm87: The car had already been painted like this about a month before I bought it. The guy I bought it from was the guy who painted it and he did an excellent job it is as smooth as glass(of course never hurts to add some Zaino, great stuff!).

Engine shineies
How did you get the plenum to look so shiny. Is it polished aluminum or is it chromed? If it's polished how did you do it and what did you use?
Thanx

Hey IROC57TPI, you will be happy to know the gts stickers are off now.
FireChicken- The plenum as well as the rest of the TPI unit is polished aluminium. I follow the tech article exactly except for I also wet sanded it with 2000 and 3000 followed by aluminium restorer and Mothers Polish. I have done several aluminium pieces for various people including most of the stuff on mine. The thing that gives it the shine is the 1500, 2000, 3000 grits as well as the aluminium restorer and polish of coarse. The more time you spend wetsanding with the finest grits the shinier it will be.
