Hood Scoop ?
OK. I'm outta room. I haven't painted the car yet...so I'm thinking of either a new hood, or a hood scoop.
ASCD Big Block Hood, Cowl Induction Hood, or a Bolt-on Cowl induction?

I think Jester has a bolt on that he riveted in place then fiberglassed on there. He has it working as a true cowl too, by cutting a hole in the hood with a jig saw.

Ok, now I gotta ask.... What is wrong with the daytona turbo hood that ASCD has? I was thinking about going with that one, as I don't think I'll have enough room for this 400(carbureted) that's gonna go in place of my 305tpi.....

if anything a low cowl...first choice
the big block looks good too
the daytona turbo hood, i just don't like them.
i guess it's just a flash back from my youth when everyone with a new 3rdgen had one of those. I just remamber this ***** with a bright yellow camaro with that hood...

if you wanna be different, then get the BB hood. my BB hood is gettin painted soon along with the whole car once i finish the engine work...i just love how the BB hood looks on a black car and the options the scoop gives you, but i also like the way a cowl hood beefs up the thirdgen look so, its really up to what you want for your car.

I don't know a lot about the ASCD Daytona Turbo old days. but I know the one on my car gets a lot of looks and compliments. I like it because it combines the z lourvers with the cowl look.

Well, after some thought, I believe I will go with the big block hood instead of the daytona iroc hood. The big block hood looks like it would have more air flow anyways, what with the opening in the front.

I cut a hole in my hood and molded a scoop into it, like a 69 z-28. I have the pics in the signiture link. Enjoy.

Well EvilCartman, to each their own choice. If everyone liked the same thing there would be no variety in life. Some like the Daytona, some like the SS, some like the Big Block, some like the z hood and some like the plain flat hood. Choices, that's what life is about man.

You've got a black and a red camaro in your photos. What are the different sizes of cowl on the two cars?
