New hsr 350 build
Hey guys ill start by bringing you all up to speed on my car.Car is a 91z28 350 T.P.I. 24 pound ford fuel injectors/hooker short headers full 3in.exh flowmaster 80 series/smog delete/2400 stall/chip tune by cpm for less.Engine has about 1,000 miles on complete rebuild.Plan on doing 3.73 gears as well.
Now i have been reading over the last few months on the H.S.R. intake set up and it seems to be the best bang for the buck upgrade over the T.P.I..Now i am for sure going to go with the H.S.R.i have read read and read on different builds both here on 3rd gen as well as other forums on these builds. What i am trying to do is make a street screamer able to put down as close to 400 hp at the rear wheels as possible. Now from what i have read the most popular choice in cams for this setup are the CC503 as well as xr276/xr282 as well as a few others not named. As far as heads i see that vette 113 heads are a ok upgrade over stock cast however i know there heads will not get me where i want to go in the long run.I would like to find a somewhat good priced aluminum head that flows well enough to match with whatever cam i pick out seems to be a few popular ones out there for these H.S.R. setups.
I guess what i am getting at is what do you guys recommend from experience would be the best and most cost effective way to meet my goals?
Any input would be greatly appreciated thanks guys!

Re: New hsr 350 build
HSR flows 275 cfm out of the box so you would be looking for a head that flows similar # to maximize the intake , then get a cam to suit.
What are the specs on your engine?
You need to take into account what the final CR will be with whatever chamber size head you decide on
