SLP T-Ram cam advice needed......

Re: SLP T-Ram cam advice needed......
Also, I can't stress enough that you MUST use the thickest O-ring possible. I find that the blue Delphi Multec O-Rings works best. I originally tried using the stock black O-rings and the upper rail would not seal.
I haven't had issues stripping the side tanks. I don't tighten them down much and don't have leaks.

Re: SLP T-Ram cam advice needed......
thanks for the info, been through 2 sets of stockers. They work good on the stockish injectors but either tear are leak with any other brand injector. Not all at once, but one at a time

Did you pick up a T-Ram from a guy in NJ with a black IROC?

Re: SLP T-Ram cam advice needed......
No. The first T-RAM I got was from California. I had it sitting on a shelf for 5 years since it was in rough shape. The second T-RAM I got in Dec of 09 from a member of this board. This was the NOS piece, and was Summit's display piece. The guy I bought it from lived literally down the road from Summit, bought the T-RAM back in either 1999 or 2000, and stashed it in his basement and forgot about it. Then he posted it up for sale on the boards here. Had lots of talkers on his post, but I went and got it.
Here's the two of them side by side:

Nice score. Do you have both lower manifolds?
If yes I would suggest powder coating or ceramic coating the one with the botched polishing job.
Lol, I understand what you meen by lots of talkers. Cash talks, period.

Re: SLP T-Ram cam advice needed......
Since there is another poster that may have one and has a buddy that may have another would it be worth while to have a T-Ram registry? SLP wont tell how many they made and they pop up every once in awhile, it would be cool to keep track of how many people that have one pass through this board. It's not like a SR or MR, they only made a handfull of them in comparison.

Glad it went to a good home! I was one of the guys trying to buy that last summit T-ram. I just couldnt make it over there in time to pick it up and told him to sell to next in line... It looks good on the car !
Dave Hamburger told me SLP mad 500ish T-rams.
I still have the Email somewhere.

I believe there used to be a T-Ram registry awhile back. Ive even spoken to the gentleman who had it a couple of times, but he owned a 92 Z28 with the t-ram. Then he sold the car to a kid in NJ has been looking for it ever since. He's the one who gave me the idea of zip tieing the auto throttle valve cable to the throttle cable bracket. Works perfectly and even shifts better than stock. The only drawback is I lost cruise control. I'm either going to have a cable bracket made up in the future or go stick.

Re: SLP T-Ram cam advice needed......
the quote we have is 7-800$ it sounds like a chunk but the main part is billet aluminum and was done on a cnc machine..
Im wondering what the final bill will be myself.

I would bet they would lower the price if they could pop out several of them. There cant be more than 10 bucks in raw material involved. It's the CNC set up time that adds up.

I think his name is Kevin? He sold the car to start a vynil reprographics company. He installed the T-Ram around 2006 on a black IROC. I sent him several pictures of the bracket at the time of the intall.
