lt1 intake, and port size

Im about to isntall my converted lt1 intake to my canfield 197cc heads.
Im using the felpro 1205 gasget.
The gasget fits good on the heads, but on the intake, the ports seems a bit to smal ( se pic ).
Will this cause any driveability or other issues?
Or is it important to machine the ports on the intake, to macth the felpro1205?

Thanks

Re: lt1 intake, and port size

Im not sure how far up the runner you would want to open up, but theoretically, an ideal intake path consistantly narrows as it approaches the valve. Matching the intake to the gasket will just end up creating a larger cross section about halfway down the tract, which will probably just stall the incoming air anyway. I wouldnt bother. As is, it wont cause any driveability issues, and is quite a bit of work for zero gain.
