I like your style. But I wouldn't have bothered with doing the intake manifold. Once everything is back under the hood, you can't really see much of the intake at all.

Save yourself some time on the install. Drill the heads of the SR to runner bolts, then put safety wire through them. Tie the left side to the right side. Now the bolts can't move. You can have the bolts bolted in from the top. No cotter pins to mess with underneath and definitely no trying to get a wrench underneath the SR.

Hey Reid. I'm trying really hard to picture in my head your explanation of the time-saving trick on the SR runner bolts, but it makes no sense. I'm going to be installing my SR in the near future, and I'll take any tips I can get as far as making the installation easier. How can you have the bolts bolted in from the top when the threads are in the base of the plenum, not the runners? I've actually considered drilling/tapping the runner holes, then using a slightly larger bolt coming down from the plenum into the top of the runners. I'll be damned if I can figure out what you're trying to explain, but I'd sure like to understand your trick if you could explain it a little better.

Re: RED POWDER COATED SUPER RAM

Have you heard any cons on powdercoating these manifolds? I am specifically referring to the heat being kept in the manifold instead of it being able to cool down faster due to the powdercoating?

Re: RED POWDER COATED SUPER RAM

WAY TOO SICK. Oh man, this makes me so stoked to throw my new intake on.
- Ported SLP Runners
- Ported Plenum
- Ported TPIS Big Mouth

Runners, Plenum, TB, Dist. Cover all powdercoated "charcoal metallic".
Baseplate is just gonna be clear coated.
And my fuel rails are polished, and the lines powder coated "charcoal metallic" as well.
Enjoy!

Re: RED POWDER COATED SUPER RAM

Hey Stangski, that looks friggin killer man! I have pretty much the exact same setup(ported SLP runners w/polished and port matched plenum) sitting in my closet as a back up plan in case the SR didn't work out. Luckily I got the SR finished up today and it runs great so far. No vacuum leaks thank God! Actually I did have one vacuum leak, but it ended up being where the TB bolts to the plenum. All I had to do was double up the TB gasket. I really like how TPI-Formula's SR turned out too. I wish I had as much patience as you guys to get everything detailed so pretty. I'm just happy I got the SOB put together right and that it runs good! Hopefully I won't be tearing mine down for any reason anytime soon, but next time it does come apart, maybe I'll do some prettying up on mine at that point in time. Nice work guys!

Re: RED POWDER COATED SUPER RAM

Super rams are very very good looking. Especially TPI-Formula's. His car just looks mean as hell!
I'm very curious to see what that 406 will do on the strip?

Re: RED POWDER COATED SUPER RAM

I have been wanting to get my Superram either polished or powdercoated. I just cant choose a color. That Charcoal metallic looks sweet, and would go perfectly on my formula being I have a charcoal two tone... hmm

Re: RED POWDER COATED SUPER RAM

The powder code is "charcoal metallic". Here's the link of my exact stuff.
http://www.powderbuythepound.com/cat...8ib9rmisqdip66

It really is a gorgeous color. And the plenum fins are powdercoated "aluminum" to match my tpis big mouth, because I am just going to powder coat it clear. I'll post more pics of the entire intake whenever my sister finds the camera.
My fuel rails are polished and the fuel lines are powdercoated to match, the tb is also powdercoated to match. And the waterneck im just going to glass blast it and have it powdered clear as well.
Not to mention a stainless steel bolt set =)

Now lets hope the performance is something to talk about too

I had the engine dynoed at the shop that built the motor outside the car..Made 467HP and 517TQ at the crank..I'm getting it tuned on a chassie dyno on 3/17 so I'll let you know what it makes to the wheels

I'm going to take a guess that it will be around 360-375.
