Reversed my HSR Fuel Rail....Problems!!!
Alright I've been searching so long that I have to get off the computer.... so I'll just post this question and look back later tonite
I'm having clearance problems with my Fuel Rail... Looks like my (IAC?...below the TPS) sensor won't plug in.... is it as easy as giving it a little turn (will it change anything?)
and the throttle cable bracket won't close right either, as it will hit the AN fittings @ the front
I know that guys on this site have reversed the Fuel Rail around for convienence (Cross-over in the back with the schrader valve and the AN fittings in the front with the AFPR) , and it looks great in theory......
Please Help!!!! I'm soooo close that I'm pulling my hair out and I need to know how this new set-up runs....... (It's only been 10 weeks)

thats an interesting way of doing it... i have that rail on the driver side like holley says to install it, with the regulator facing the inside. still can get at it if you need to which is never for me.
if you still have problems you can try going back to the original mounting position

Ya I might have to go back to the way it was all intended...... But I'm gonna do some more measuring and brainstorming..... BD3's throttle bracket is different than mine.....? I have an 1989 GTA and I know some brackets were different....... Is that where things have gone wrong?
Orr89RocZ do you have any pics of your driver side throttle body because I still don't think that I'll clear the fuel rail if I turn it all around.
Man I think that I've done everything at least twice with this build..... I guess that's par for the course

I don't see a throttle body gasket in there. mine has a thick gasket and you could even use 2 thick gaskets which would move the throttle body out some.

i dont think i have any pics currently of all that but i can tell you that the stock TB's throttle line guide plate thingy hit the fuel rail fitting. i did have to grind alittle off the TB guide to get it to clear but it did work
My new holley TB fits perfectly with room to spare
edit: i lied i do have a pic but doesnt exactly show my TB grinding to get it to fit better. it wasnt much grinding tho
IAC sensor is far from the other rail since its shorter

Mine works fine but it is because my TB is moved toward the front of the car more,,,
why don't you just put a Nitrous Plate behind the throttle body, or just a spacer ?

Well, I put everything back the way it was intended but it sucks......
There's just so little room around the distributer that it's insane...... Right now I just wanna start this pig, but in time I'll figure out a way to flip it so that the fuel lines route upfront. It just makes more sense to me.

When we first did mine we tried to install it the way Holley said but the person I got it from had it the way it's installed now. It's easier to get to the adj fuel reg and I installed the fuel pressure gauge on the A/C delete heater box made it easy to read while adjusting the fuel pressure.Sorry for the blurry pic.
