Best low-mid range EFI.

Hi. Here is a real, real simple question.

I want ~400RWHP from a 383 stroker, preferrable available in the low-mid RPM range. What intake will get me this. Could be vortec or regular. Machining work, whatever.

As far as i can tell:
even the biggest, baddest, most ported, aftermarket runners/base TPI won't be able to get me that kind of power.
Ive askd about the RamJet in a thread further down on this page but solid info seems scarce on it.
What about the Holley Stealth Ram, or the Accel SuperRam, or even a converted LT1 inake. Will any of these deliver the low and mid range power im looking for?

Intakes im looking at:
Fully modified TPI. Ported, runners, base, the works. Gotta love the TPI look
Ramjet. I get a pretty steep GM discount
LT1. Same as RJ, however, can also be found cheap through good searching
HSR, know little about it.
ASR, know little.

Once again, Im looking for ~400RWHP in the low-mid range. No power coming in at 6k RPM please. I just LOVE feeling all that monster push behind you right from the beginning! Plus im worried about my engine lasting much over that anyways . Will any of these work? Also, i have the money for the right stuff, but price is a major concern so cheapest is best.

Thanks for your help.

edit: Also, the heads and camshaft will be chosen to match the intake. Im just trying to get all my plans together before i spend any big money. Do it right the first time right guys?!

edit: also, any info comparing the HSR and the Accel Superram would be greatly appriciated, as i can't seem to find anything about the ASR?

Re: Best low-mid range EFI.

How about a FIRST intake?

On a 383 a Superram works great, I know.

/N.

PS if you search you will find a dyno article from Feb 2005 "Ten times the Torque" comparison between alot of intakes on a 383cui

Re: Best low-mid range EFI.

WOW. thats all i have to say. Ive never even heard of the FIRST intake. That seems like it may be exactly what i am looking for. Alittle pricy yes, but man does that look bad a$$. I'm definitly going to look into that closer. Thank you!

edit: but in the meantime while i investigate this intake, any other opinions?

Re: Best low-mid range EFI.

superram looks like a pizza box. im goin for the same setup as u. i want 400rwhp without losing tq and reving to the moon.

i should be getting 480-500hp and 400 at the wheels.
383 with 9.5 comp
HSR.... ported and matched to heads
195cc patriot performnace aluminum heads
comp cams XFI 280 cam 230/236 .567/.571 113 lobe
58mm TB
30lb ford SVO injectors
1.6 aluminum full roller rockers

i went with the HSR bc of its price, its proven performance and that it hardly looses tq down low but allows u to rev higher and make more power and allows u to pull from any RPM... which is wat i want. theres a post recently on one of these threads that posted a site of dynod all the fuel injection intakes that are out now and the HSR performed better than all except the miniram but cost 1/2 the price. it even made as much torque as the TPI
