LT1 TB on L98/hsr motor
its a 52mm BBK throttle body, this is off their website
Q. I have a BBK throttle body on a TPI motor. I was thinking of Putting it on my new LT-1 motor. They look awfully similar. Will that be possible?
(part numbers affected include: 1534, 1536, 1537, 1539, 1540, 1542, 1543, 1544)
A. Though the TPI and LT-1 throttle bodies do have a similar basic body structure, the linkage systems and the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) are different and incompatible.
however i already got an LT1 tps connection its the same 3 wire just a different pigtail, and im pretty sure its the same 5 or 6 volt signal whatever it is on our cars.
i've conerted to a manual transmission so kickdown cable is not an issue, the only concern is the im not sure what its called but brackte on the side of the TB that the cable runs through and connects to is a different shape.
I'm not sure if this will cause me any issues, is a throttle cable adjustable or is it a set length? ive never had to play with that before

Re: LT1 TB on L98/hsr motor
I also have is same issue as well. I have a AS&M 58mm TB thats for a LT1. When I contacted AS&M (cause I ordered one for a 92 F body) they told me they no longer make L98 style TB's anymore. So, I guess my plan will be the same as yours, Ive got to get some pig tails for a LT1 stlye TPS and IAC motor. I see there maybe an issue with the throttle cable, but cant really tell if the stock throttle cable will be long enough. I was wondering if a 4th gen throttle cable would "fit" our 3rd gen car or not? The "cam" shape of the throttle will provide a slightly different opening rate than our older round ones, but other than that it shouldent make any difference.
The 3 TPS wires shoulent be any different than ours, ground, 5V and signal. Ill have to look at it more later.
