It's the same regulator. BWD 21706

Re: HSR Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator Failures.

I see it's been a while since anyone added anything here but I just had to share. I've been chasing a horrible flooding issue since yesterday so pulled the vacuum line from the POS holley regulator and turned the key to look for fuel in the line. Fuel squirts on dist/coil and voila, flame on. I know, I'm a dumb a$$ for not seeing the possibility but I had no idea how much fuel was gonna come out of there. Luckily I'll just have to do some minor rewiring and replace a couple of vacuum lines (I hope) but damn, if anyone hasn't replaced theirs yet just do it. These things are so bad they're dangerous.

Re: HSR Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator Failures.

Anyone try replacing the Holley regulator with one from a TTA? Base pressure is 45psi rather than 37 like the GN unit.

$40 from autozone:

Product Details

Part Number: 800-114
Weight: 0.45 lbs
Warranty: 1 YR
Adjustable Fuel Pressure: Yes
Boost / Vacuum Reference Port: No
Compatible Fuel System Style: Return
Compatible Fuels: Gasoline
Gauge Port: No
Inlet Attachment Type: Straight
Inlet Quantity: 1
Installation Hardware Included: No
Item Grade: OEM Standard
Material: Steel
Operating Pressure: 45 psi
Outlet Attachment Type: Bolt-on Type
Outlet Quantity: 1
Package Contents: Includes Caution Sheet; W/ O-ring

Assuming the outlet is the same thread. Probably order one today. My holley unit stopped reacting to vacum changes. If I pull the line off the pressure doesn't move..

Re: HSR Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator Failures.

The Holley setup is also based on 45 PSI.
The Kirban 6547 will work from 30 psi till 100 psi.

In my opinion "You should not have any problem"

Yeah my holley is showing mid 30s and the adjustment doesn't seem to matter. Guess it's pooched.

Re: HSR Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator Failures.

When I had my HSR it's stock regulator failed. So when I switched to my Pro-Ram I noticed it had the exact same part and I wasn't wanting to go that route again. I had the back inch of the fuel rail cut off and then taped for a -8AN fitting so I could run a nice Aeromotive unit. Works well on my Pro-Ram and from pictures it appears that it might work with the HSR. Just a thought.
