Stay away from GMpartsdirect

I am having the worst time with these dirty bastards. I ordered a computer for my car from them over three weeks ago and i still havent seen it. Ups sent it from NC to MA where it was suposed to go but then it went to CA before it was delivered to me. Now I am still waiting for it. I emailed the company ,which is the only way to talk to them, and the only thing they would tell me is "I am sure it will be there tommarro" yeah right! They have no return policy either. They even have the nerve to charge you 20 dollars for shipping and handling for a 2.5lb commputer. The extra money must be for the frre shipping to another state.....

You mentioned you had tracked the package from NC to MA to CA. To do that you would have needed a UPS tracking #, which proves GMPartsDirect sent out the computer. In which case your beef is with UPS, not GMPartsDirect. The fact that UPS cannot tell the difference between MA and CA is not the shippers fault.

As for the cost of shipping,... have you checked the price of fuel lately? And in light of recent events, I wouldn't be surprised if the cost of insurance for transported goods had risen dramatically.

I think you should call up UPS and vent on them. And request the delivery charges be reduced or rescinded.

I've used GM Parts Direct for several purchases while re-building my Berlinettas. They consistantly had the lowest prices and shipped me high quailty NOS parts.

I always recieved the correct parts in a timely manner !

I've ordered from them before and I haven't had a problem... got parts that you can't find anywhere (not broken) and in a timely manner as well. I got no beef!

I wanted to wait until my last order was received (was today) and I love GMPARTSDIRECT. I have purchased nearly $2,000 worth of parts for my Formula and have not had one single problem yet. They also are considerably cheaper than other GM parts places.
