Witch Hunter Performance
Witch Hunter Performance is a company in Washington that specializes in injector cleaning and flow testing. I sent them my TBI injectors to clean and flow test. They are top notch. If you read their website (listed below), they do things the right way. They flow tested, cleaned, then tested again and sent a summary sheet with before and after data of the tests they ran. They replaced the O-rings and the screen filter for no charge. The injectors look brand new now and actually flow better than they are rated for. Best part was the prices and fast turnaround. I am on the east coast and I got these back in less than 2 weeks from the day I shipped them (using USPS first class). Definitely would recommend these guys if you have some injectors you need cleaned/flow tested.

Re: Witch Hunter Performance
I think its $11 per injector to flow test, and $22 per injector to clean and flow test. A lot of places will charge more for TBI injectors (which makes no sense) but Witch Hunter charges a flat rate regardless of injector type. I think they charge 10 bucks to ship back to you. All the info is plainly listed on their website, which I really liked.
Honestly I did find a couple places that would clean and flow test for a few bucks cheaper per injector (for a regular injector anyway) but none guaranteed a 1-2 day turnaround and a printout of the results and flow data.

Re: Witch Hunter Performance
So I have to ask, would it be better to spend $176 refurbishing old injectors or $289 for a new set?

Re: Witch Hunter Performance
If there's nothing mechanically wrong with your injectors and you aren't planning on going bigger, seems like a no brainer to save the extra hundred bucks and get them cleaned.

Re: Witch Hunter Performance
Sorry, let me word that different.
Is having my "old, worn" injectors cleaned and tested and having them "go out" in 6 months/year/whatever better than getting a new set, good for Xxxxxx number of hours/cycles/whatever? Assuming they "wear out." Does witchhunter replace the wear item in the injector or just clean it?
My apologies, not familiar with exactly how injectors work.

How Injectors Work
Cleaning Procedures
Seriously, check out the site. Everything you want/need to know is there.
As far as what you're asking, I don't believe they rebuild injectors, just clean them. However, they do replace certain items. Read the link and it'll tell you what exactly they replace. But because they test the injector before and after cleaning, if they find that something appears wrong or out of spec despite cleaning, I'm sure they will let you know and make a recommendation. If you aren't having fuel issues right now, I'd say you're ok and your injectors won't up and fail on you. Bottom line, if you have your injectors cleaned and they all spec out, you shouldn't have any issues with an injector going bad 6 months down the road. And if one does, its still cheaper to clean them and then replace one bad injector vs buying 8 brand new ones.

Re: Witch Hunter Performance
We are located on Long Island and service all injectors. TBI $25.00 each (full service) with new orings and filter, plus the little filter on the side. We also enclude the top gasket. 24 hour turnaround, thats 2 days down time in NY or less the 5 on the west coast. $6.00 to $7.00 return depending on where your located. Befor and after flow sheet with each service. PS top feed injectors are $15.00/each same service. Just some info.

Re: Witch Hunter Performance
South Bay was one of the first sites I checked since I knew you guys were a sponsor. I didn't see the info I was looking for on the site (That's probably on me though for not looking hard enough. After checking just now, I did see some info on your cleaning process) but I really didn't like that you charge $10 more just to service TBI and side feed injectors and $20 more for direct injection when the cleaning process is exactly the same. Just seems like a ripoff to me. I'm sure you guys do good work and if I had top feed injectors I'd probably send them your way just because of distance and price. But when I looked at Witch Hunters site there was a lot more, detailed info and pictures of their equipment and process. Plus the fact that they straight up tell you there's no reason servicing side feed and TBI injectors should cost more is what really sold me.
It comes down to time and parts. GDI injectors take 3 times as long to get the full data and the seal kit from mercury is $15.00. The top oring on the side feed (Merc) is $8.00 alone. Compared to standard top feed injectors the orings are about .50 cents. GDI injectors are pulsed at about 18 different settings, have very close tolerance. As you also read, I give the gasket for the TBI. I charge a couple of bucks more than some and less than others but I like to believe at the end of the day our customers get back a good product and service for their hard earned dollars. From what I hear, Witch Hunter is a fine company. never heard any complaints about them.

Got my injectors done by Gordon at Witchhunter. Fast turnaround time. Supplied before and after flow data. Very happy with this vendor.
