try www.stranoparts.com
Best to call them up since finding the part on the site is kind of hard, if it is even listed.
Found it on their site. they did a redesign,

Re: Best Place to buy a Zexel T2r?
Thanks! Can you tell me if my car is definately a 10 bolt with 28 spline axles? (I think that's what the T2R needs) I have a 91 GTA with a factory POSI (G80)
Also, I was thinking about regearing while I was having the posi replaced. What's a good all-around gearing (street, circle, autox, drag?) Where can I buy replacement gears?
Thanks!
Bill

Re: Best Place to buy a Zexel T2r?
I'm 90% sure that the 90+ rears got the 28 spline axles along with the 7.625" moniker, rather than 7.5". I dunno if the ring gear actually went up to 7.625" though.
3.23 or 3.73 are all-around gears. Go with the '.23's if it's gonna be a street car first, and an event car second. And if I recall correctly, if you're road racing or doing autox, a lot of people will upgrade to a Ford 9" just so they can change their gears to match the track they're on. You can get replacement gear sets from any of the board vendors, and probably summit. Just do a search on your brand and part number, some are notorious for squealing like demons.

If it's a weekend crusier, would 3.73 be better? The website says that the 3.73's need to be ground to fit. Will this grinding cause issues?

3.23 is a great highway gear, but other than that it makes our cars pooches with stock engines. 3.73 is the typical gearing that most go to, and with the 700R4 cruise RPM is still not bad. I actually went with a 3.42 gear (found a lot in S10s) to try and find a compromise between the two.

Ozz, thanks! is the High Biased Zexel the same as the T2R?
Kawtipping, thanks! Does upgrading to a 3.73 have any negative effects like compromising top speed for faster acceleration?

The bigger you go numerically, the lower your top speed goes. It's a fact of life. The downside is you can't exactly experiment. 3.73 would be a good weekend cruiser. Wouldn't go over that for a car that sees street time. I do a lot of distance driving so the 3.27's are good for me.

Re: Best Place to buy a Zexel T2r?
The High Biased, according to the tech I spoke to at Reider racing is the one with the extra clutches in it, I'm pretty sure that's the same as the t2R...Reider doesn't sell anything else even though their website says they do. They also tried to sell me one of the Truetrac units which apparently is basically the same thing.

You said the stop speed decreases. Where will I feel the car start to suck with 3:73s?
Are they still the best choice for drag, circle track, auto x, etc?

I have 3.73 and love them, but I also have a T56 trans. I use the car for cruising, lapping days, and autox.
If your using a 700r4 trans, then your mileage will be affected at anything higher than 60 MPH with 3.73s.

I dont know if it is the BEST place to buy but I think you can order direct from Torsen now. I asked about a diff for a Dana 44 a few weeks ago and they said they would have on their website soon.
Unfortunately the store page is not loading for me right now

Thanks for the input guys. I sent Torsen an email on Monday but haven't heard back yet. scooter, thanks for the link somehow i wasn't able to dig it up in their shop!
Anyone wants to comment on the T-2R go ahead, i'm interested in the way it performs and how it's holding up to some abuse Sorry if you think this is graveyard-thread-hijacking lol

Re: Best Place to buy a Zexel T2r?
Been driving mine for about 10k miles so far and other than going through a pinion bearing, pretty sure it was set up wrong by the shop, it's held up really well. Watch out for wet or snowy conditions though. This rear won't act like an open diff if both wheels lose traction, so it will constantly slip the car to the right if you don't keep it on the brakes at a stop light.
