just wanted to get some opinions about this brand of weather stripping, how well it fits and the quality, i know the price is pretty good, just wanted to hear from people that have actually used it, thanks guys!

 

Those are "SoftSeal" brand...well that's what it said on my box..Metro SoftSeal. I got door stripping with those little blue *****. Fit pretty good...not complaints here.

 

I bought the full kit from www.dannoenterprises.com/ they were the best price I could find at $130.00 for the full hadtop seal kit. Metro weatherstripping
The weatherstripping got here quickly and well packaged.
I had a few ... concerns when I installed them... OK, I was ticked off.
It stared off bad, the first seal I put on, the passenger window seal, developed a small split along a seam, that I still need to call about getting replaced, actually, I think I'll try to repair on the car if I can.
Then I did a dry fit to the door seal and started thinking it was too short.
I was wrong, it streached out perfectly.
There are no hard plastic piece’s in the ends so I ended up using a washer under the screw that helps to holds one of the end piece’s in place.
With the exception of the one small split seam, I'm pretty happy with the metro stuff,especially for the price . (plastic inserts would have been nice though )

 

One item to watch out for is the hatch seal. It's made as generic replacement for a bunch of different GMs. For our cars though it is way taller than OEM and 'pinches' in the corners behind the B-Pillar which leaves a little gap for water to come in. It looks as though it would be perfect as a trunk seal for an old Buick Electra or something..just not for an Body. Jon

 

well its actually time to buy my weather stripping and i think i might just try the metro stuff out and see how well it fits, and if i dont like it, i guess ill just try to return it, anyone else have any other experiences with this stuff? thanks guys
