Company that sells engine crates?
Yes, I need an Engine Crate, NOT a crate engine. I am moving to another state that is 8 hours away from me, and need a crate to pack everything in. I am looking for one similar to the Edelbrock type that are hard plastic and are completely sealed. Does anyone know of any companies that sell these?

Most engine rebuild shops have extra crates from when they buy long blocks. You'll find them in the yellow pages. I just shipped a mtr to Fla. the crate cost me $20.

When I need to move an engine around I stick it in one of these metal dollies and wrap it in plastic.

I didn't even think about checking my local engine shop for one. I'll call and see if they have one laying around. I don't really need a metal one with wheels, since I have a stand for it and I won't be moving it myself (hiring a moving company to do the dirty work since the company is paying for it). I simply don't have the time to build one myself. I would if I did, but between classes, work, packing up and looking for an apartment it just isn't possible!
