They use to be a sponsor on here I think... They were removed because they were screwing so many people over... There are dozens of complaints on here about them.

I had an issue with them taking forever, but I did finally get my order. Hawks is a billion times better(except for the raising prices ) , but I understand some things only fbody has. If only they cared about thier customers and were more organised.

I am sorry about your problem. I get around 200 e-mails a day and can't get all of them answered. As for not answering the phone, we are here 8:30-5:30 and closed for lunch from 12:00-1:00. We have four phone lines and they are always tied up. Please try to call and only speak to me and I will make sure that you get your parts or a refund. Jay

There have been NUMEROUS complaints on FBM for years now and I'm somewhat suprised that guys still do business with them.
I am VERY pleased that you, Jay, have taken the time to respond to the issues. I'm a local guy and I haven't been up there in a while now but I do know there have been recent changes to the company, and hopefully for the better. I haven't had an issue since I am able to personally get what I want from them. Still, buyer beware until the performance goes way up.

I ordered a grille from them about 2 years ago and never got it. I kept calling and no one knew what was going on with my order. The kept saying someone would call be back and nothing. After 4 months, I had to have my bank refund me the money. I have told all of my friend to never do business with them.

They then send the cash to you and you get it and ship it out in less than a month, or never through them...

I have never dealt with them but there are so many horror stories that I doubt I ever will. Do a search, it's the same thing every time.

I would be happy to do that, and you'd be sure to get the right part in good condition.

FBM is very slow to ship.
My current order has been sitting there for 2 weeks now. Apparantly, one of the items (AC relocation kit) I ordered needs to be custom built, but nobody told me this until I called up following up on my order. It's to ship early next week which means i won't be starting my car this weekend. (finishing up the LS1 swap and am eager to get the car running) I need the cold air kit to install my MAF..
My first order with them was competely forgotten about by them. I called to follow up and it was never processed. Lost 2 weeks on that, too. Then, it was completed but still took 2 weeks to get. On top of that the box was damaged/ opened hwne I received (this is likely the shippers fault, not FBM) but, fortunately, the engine mounts were still inside unhurt.
Just my experience.

it should go like this: Dear customer, due to back orders and drop shipping delays(not to mention laziness and a touch of apathy) yout order will require 4-6 weeks (if you keep reminding us, or longer if you don't)for delivery.

Took me 6 months to get a carpet delivered, wasn't until my credit card company got involved did I get any joy despite numerous phone calls to the previous joker who "ran" the business. From what i've seen Jay is trying hard to resurrect the company but not enough progress has been made for me to consider any further orders. Shame.

$600+ Order I received about $100 bucks in parts and those took about 3 months. The last shipment I got I was told had everything in it...it did not! I called and was told everything would be straightened out and they would call back to confirm...waited some more...nothing, so I put a fraud call into AMEX, they gave me the money back after fbms did not reply to their requests.
stay far far away.
oh and the injectors I waited for for 4 months from them...called SLP...got them in 2 days!!!

In both cases listed here did they charge your credit cards? If they did then you should call the local police and provide them will all of the documentation of your efforts to contact them and file a fraud charge aganist them. I found most police departments actually have an internet crime division now and will act on it if you have good documentation. They will actually go over there and start investigating the place.

I never had a problem with them, but I'm local though, all the employees were very polite and helped me out. I've been on other sites and never seen many people complain about them but this one really hates them, maybe just bad luck or something who knows what you guys had to deal with but personally I'm happy with them.

I'm local as well so I also have had no problems, just go get what I need myself but I haven't been there in over a year. What other sites are you referring to? If they are 4th gen boards, I can understand. I have felt for a LONG time that they moved their business focus to 4th gens and left the third gens as stepchildren just to pay the bills, take care of us when they have to which apparently isn't that often. There's more money in the 4th gen market so more attention goes there. JMO...

well I also was thinking the same thing, but idk if its 4th gens or just LS1's and LT1's, they have a lot of nice 3rd gens there but all of them have LS1's or LT1's swapped into them, and they have 2 more working on LS1 swaps, all nice 3rd gens just swapped motors. I think they even made some new headers for the LS1's in 3rd gens, who knows. I've had good business with them and will probably continue to do business with them in the future. It would be unfortunate if they wanted to ignore the 3rd gens since done right they can be some of the most beautiful cars of the 4 generations

Wow, wish I knew about all of this before I ordered my polyurethane transmission mount and torque arm mount for my 98 this morning. I'll be pissed off if I don't get it soon, think I should cancel and just call spohn instead?

For some reason, which I have no clue, They don't sell polyurethane transmission mounts for LS1 f-bodies. They have them for 82-92's but not the 98-02's. I've checked with pep boys on Kingston Pike, O' Reillys, Advance and the Hot Rod barn, even called Summit racing and no one carries them. Evidently, after looking on the Energy suspension website, they don't make a poly mount. Spohn carries both, don't really know who the manufacturer is but they have them. I called F-body motorsports and cancelled, the woman I talked to caught an attitude so that done me in with them. My parts will be here by Thursday.

For 98_LS1, I heard Amanda speak to you this morning. She asked me if we had the parts in stock and I told her no but that we will have some in on Wednesday. That is what she told you. In no way did she have an attitude when you cancelled. Also the transmission mount is the same as 82-92. I am sorry that us not having the part in stock and you cancelling somehow is causing you to not order from us again. Some people on this board have legitimate complaints or problems but us not having them in stock until Wednesday. Come on. Jay

That wasn't what I meant, let me re-phrase that. I need these parts before this weekend so I checked around, found them elsewhere and cancelled. Sure sounded like she cocked an attitude to me, besides, every time in the past when I've ordered something from ya'll the **** has taken weeks to get here. If it's in stock then it shouldn't take that damn long. I understand if it's not, that's a different story. From what Summit, the chevy dealer and everyone else said the mount is NOT the same. It calls for a different part number and is not listed on the Energy Suspension catalog. I own both a third gen and a 4th gen, the 98 has a different style mount. I don't know if it makes a difference or not though. The B.S. I've put up with from them has just added up, don't take any of this personally but it seems like a half *** ran business to me. They can keep their parts, there are plenty of places elsewhere that want to keep their business.

I am sorry that you needed them by this weekend and we did not have them in stock. I myself have 2 94 Formula's and I will tell you that the transmission mounts will work. Just trying to be helpful. Also, everyone on this board knows that the business has struggled in customer service. I am personally trying to make things better. I am an enthusiast just like everyone else on here. Before I started working here, I knew about the questionable practices that some on here have questioned. I wanted to be around the cars and the business so I came to work here. I have now been here for over 2 years. Alot of things have happened in the 2 years. Since Camaro Specialty bought us out in January things are getting better. Unfortunately it is taking longer than we had all hoped. I believe that some of the people on here know that I am trying and if they have a problem to give me a call. I hope all of you with a problem take me up on that offer, if not I can't help you. I hope everyone has a good day. Jay

I understand, at least your trying to help. Thanks for confirming the tranny mount, if I knew that then I could've gotten one locally. I hope you know none of my bitching was directed torwards you but I hope you can understand where I'm coming from though. If I ever decide to do business with them again I'll get ahold of you. Are you in sales? Keep up the good work and good luck, hopefully they'll get their act together.

I stopped into the shop about a month ago, people were friendly and had what seemed to be a large amount of parts on hand. I also have gone through the shipping nightmare with them before, and swore them off, but after going to the shop I would buy from them again as long as the part was in stock and I could pick up.

I ordered some door pins from them for 10 dollars each. Ordered 2. Was charged 32 dollars with shipping. Got the package today and shipping was 1.11 in a 49 cent envelope. I am disappointed at this. I know its only 10 dollars but I dont see how they can justify that 10 bucks. So I really payed 15 dollars each for my pins. Not to mention that my card was charged twice because the first time they didnt add shipping so they said. It was charged 22 dollars the first time. And 32 the second. Seems like they added shipping the first time to me. But what do I know?
