Forte's Parts Connection - Burlington, MA

Last week I purchased a brand new Tremec for my 91Z. Mike at Forte's has been in business for quite sometime and I have been buying parts from him since the mid 90's.

In comparison to many of the other speed shops out there Mike supports what he sells 110%. During the beginning stages of the buying process I really questioned going T56 or TKO and he gave me the pros and cons to each and I really respect his knowledge. Even though he is selling the product he told me straight out that if I want to go with the T56 he understands and he was happy to help. Then we went through the gear ratios, construction of the gear box and I quickly found out that TKO was a better transmission for my application.

In this instance I needed the complete conversion kit for tranny since I am using all of my stock components.

Mike provided me with everything to install the tranny is just a few hours time right down to the needed bolts. All in all this was a normal tranny swap.

Included is his kit is a perfectly machined adapter plate to rotate the tranny when bolting it to the bell housing. He also gives you the spacers for the crossmember. I have seen many people complain about the spacers other people make and they require drilling out the holes to make them line up. These were absolutely perfect!

If anyone is even considering this swap call Mike Forte. He has everything you need to swap a Tremec in your car sitting on the shelf at his location.

His product line does not stop at just Tremec's. He deals with a wide variety of aftermarket parts from every manufacturer on the market it seems. Plus he also does some custom one off parts which he designs and machines himself.

especially with the big cam too, that first gear is real sweet
