Problems with Pro-Built Automatics ?
I ordered some parts from Pro-Built Automatics ( www.700r4l60e.com ) and ran in to the problems. My order is almost 3 weeks "queued" and my credit card already 2 weeks ago charged. They replied to my e-mail once and promised to ship it (2 weeks ago). Their phone is on answering mashine and they dont reply to the my emails anymore.
I'm stuck. Has anybody experienced this kind of problems with them? Can you suggest me some actions to get my stuff from there?
Thank you!

unfortunately, you may have to wait 2 more weeks to claim with your credit card (30 days).
I believe they are actually on this site, but other than that good luck

Strange... If this guy is alright then I shouldn't lose my money, hopefully. But it would be nice to give me some feedback about what's going on.
I'll wait some time more and let's see what happens. I'll let you know.
Thank you for your opinions.
edit: I ordered rebuild kit for TH-200-R4

I ordered a vette servo from them and the status was showing queued through the time I received it. I also tried to phone them several times with no answers.... other than the machine. But all is well I recieved my part and I'm sure you will get your's. They might want to look in to a better interface for the customer though. Not being able to contact your seller makes buyers very nervous.

I have dealt w/ Dana several times in the past. I have always been very happy w/ him and his product. He does have times he gets REALLY busy and thus is away from the phone, or has trouble gettin to emails. He will not rip you off though. If the parts are "qued" to go out, its possible he is awaiting products to finish your order. A lot of his stuff is also custom... Call and leave a message and talk to him first....

Dana just gets very busy at times. He also does the shop work so he's not at a computer that much. When he is at the phone the line is swamped with calls. I order'd an automatic from him few years back and it didn't shift at the correct RPM (govenor weights were off). It was shifting at 3000 RPM each time or so at WOT. I called in a few times he said he would ship me a recalibration kit for it. It never went out, I called few more times and he said he forgot and it would go out that day. Never came. Eventually I wrote on the forum about it and he emailed me and said he was sorry and asked for my information. I emailed him and never got anything back. I end'd up going to a ratchet shifter to fix it, which turned out to be even better since I know it will shift exact moment I bump it. I'm pleased with the customer support and products though.
I believe he hand picks a lot of the parts so that could be why it's taking him awhile. Like stated earlier maybe he ran out of something. He ran out of tailshafts for my transmission order, so I just had him ship it without and used my stock tailshaft.
I would recommend you just keep on calling him each day, eventually one of these times he should be by the phone.

I'll vouch for Dana too.
He is an extremely knowledgeable guy and is helpful on the phone evenif you dont buy anything directly from him and are having issues.
I'm sure its an oversite or he is busy.

I didn't say that Dana is bad guy, not at all. Thats why I ordered from there. I've heard nice things about him. But their customer support needs some serious improvement. That's not acceptable that I dont khow already for 3 weeks, where my order, parts and money is. I've tried to contact him in every possible way to get some information - nothing.

My parts should be on the way.
Small tip for those who will try to contact Dana in the future - use "Contact us" form on their website. At least it finally worked for me and I got information that I needed.
Thanks to you all for your help and advices!

I bought the 700r4 kit from Probuilt and Dana personally called me on the phone twice to confirm everything and asked me questions concerning my rebuild. Great guy, great products! I remember that the pro-built website was acting funny when I tried placing my order online and it was through a phone call that I got in touch with him.
Glad to hear everything went smoothly.

I just received my rebuild kit for my TH350. Dana dosent do a lot of these builds mostly the 700's. He had my part to me within 10-12 days. He even had alto to dropship some stuff he didnt have.
He even called me with info on a converter. Dana just seems to be working all the time.
Glad to here your parts are on the way. I cant wait to get my trans built.

I'll vouch for Dana as well. I purchased a 700R4 from him in 2003 and he spoke to me three different times for a long time. He never tried to "make a sale" he just answered my questions and provided lots of information.
I would purchase only from him again.
