Drivetrain specialists of Las Vegas -- stay away

So I've been looking around for a shim kit for T56 and came across this site: www.drivetrain.com.

While I was already calling them I noticed their site was selling parts for "camero" <-- that should have been my first clue, but I was already on the phone, so I thought, "how bad could it be?"

1st call: Lady picks up the phone, as soon as I say what I want she puts me on hold without saying a single word and some guy picks up the phone making repeat what I just said. I ask him a few questions, he says he doesn't know how many shims are in the kit and then says, "have a good day," while I am talking to him and actually interested in buying this thing. So he takes my name/address/credit card # and says it will be shipped out the same day.

2nd call: 2 days later I am curious if I will get the package before the weekend so I can make plans accordingly. So I call them up just to get the tracking #. Lady picks up the phone and as soon as I say that I made an order with them (don't even have a chance to ask about the tracking #), her response, "well, you didn't make an order with me." What kind of crap is that !!!???

Then she asks who I spoke with. I told her it was 2 days ago and the guy never told me his name. I always have a pen in hand when I order stuff online and write down anything useful they typically say. She says, "no, he did say his name." Fine, not going to argue, so I just said I don't recall it.

She asks for my information and then announces that such order doesn't exist. Then she gives the phone to some guy, Dave. I tell him exactly what I told her and then he tells me same thing she said. How am I supposed to even respond to that? I spoke with your company 2 days ago, I placed an order, you took all the info including credit card #, and now you are telling me that never happened?

They put the phone on the desk and start talking/yelling/arguing. I wasn't even on hold, I could actually here them in the background. Then some other guy picks up the phone and tells me the kits are on back order and they will not have them for 10-14 days. Then he says "according to the computer" they called me the day before twice, but I never picked up the phone and there was no voice mail. I gave them my cell phone. It is always with me and even if I am on the other line, or outside service area, there is always voicemail. Basically, bunch of

I asked to cancel my order and surprizingly they had no problems agreeing to that, although I doubt they even knew about it in the first place. Now I just still need to see if my credit card gets charged anyway.

And the funny thing is I went on google and found a place one hour from where I live that sells these kits which are made by Tremec themselves. Kits are in stock and they cost half the price, that Las Vegas company was going to charge me. Not to mention, the guy on the phone was actually acting professional.

Well, that's my for story. And if it saves at least one person from going to those people and dealing with their BS, I did my job.

ghey. Dude, that sucks. Thats badass you found em for half the price. hope they dont charge you though
