Is there a company that pays more attention to quality than
an other ?
I hear a lot of bad reviews on compcams ..
Maybe one rates there cams more accurately than the other ?

Considering most all cam companies get the same blanks. you will get a similar cam from each. What it comes down to is the lobe designe, specs, quality control after grinding, etc.
I would lean towards Lunati and Isky, lunati is now employing Harold Brookshire, formaly at Comp (designed the extreme energy series) then UltraDyne (he owned it.) He has a ton of experiance with cams. He is most noteable for his Solid lifter big-block cams though. I run an UltraDyne, along with a couple other of the guys in the local club.

My primary concern about Lunati would be that they are now owned by Holley.
History has shown that when a small, successful speciality business is bought out by a multi-brand company, quality and customer service are the first things sacrificed to pay back the investment.
I don't have any data to suggest that is happening with Lunati, but I was sad to hear that they (and Hooker, and Weiand, and NOS, and Earl's, and...) were bought out by Holley.

Ok. the Harold comp/ud/lunati tech, and the low-down on UltraDyne.
Harold is OLD, he worked at Comp for something like 20 years. He left comp to start his own buisness (ultradyne). Well it turns out he was a much better cam designer than a buisnessman, so he left to books up to someone else, who mess up big time. so end of story on UD. So you have a very experianced cam designer who is now looking for work. Lunati was in need of someone to basicly revamp a dying cam division. so they hired harold.
Now, as I understand it, harold owns all the old UD cam designs, so he is allowed to grind them at lunati. So, if you contact Harold directly, you can get his UD grinds, or you can get his newly devoloped Lunait grinds.
I also noticed, many of the old UD specs are listed as the 'new' lunati cams.
DM -- no i have not ordered the larger cam yet. and dpending on where i get with the current cam, i may go even larger than initialy planned.
Edit: Just checked the website. all the cams in the 'new' section of the following link are UltraDyne cams.

I can also say a good work for Iskenderian products. They were real good when it came to custom grinding a cam.

well, up to now, my choices come down to ..
crower - 221HR230 114° http://www.crower.com/misc/m_cat.shtml
their 110LSA version has a real narrow powerband ...(2400-5700)
then theres HR-284-2S-12 IG (2500-6000) 222-230@50
http://www.cranecams.com/?show=brows...tType=camshaft
Lunaty - RRA1 227-234 (2000-6400) http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLin...CC/Chevy5.html
Im leaning towards lunaty, seems to have the best power band.

If i were going for a lunati cam in that duration range. i woudl look at
01-HR11-HR12-12-A01
assumeing you heads will take the lift
