Has anybody ever used NewGMParts.com?
They swear all parts are new unrestored from GM. Seem to have some good prices from what I can tell. Never seen their name mentioned. Wanted to research a bit before I send them a credit card #. Here's a link.

BTW. This is not for advertisement purposes. I really just want to know.

I haven't used them, but recently someone told me about them cause I need to order some new emblems, window motors, and locks for my IROC. I went to a dealership to get a quote on the stuff and I had a piece of paper with prices from newgmparts.com, gmpartsdirect.com, 1aautomotive.com and the parts guy (who is really cool and honest) saw it and asked what it was. I told him it was some prices I've seen elsewhere, but that I wasn't sure how good those places are. He told me that gmpartsdirect.com rapes you on shipping charges, he's never heard about 1aautomotive, and that he's heard good things about newgmparts.com. So I think whatever I don't get at the dealer, I'm gonna give newgmparts.com a try.

Well I ordered a reversing switch for my hatch pulldown from them as sort of a test. $13.00 for the switch $5 for ground shipping. Pretty decent on both so I guess next step is to see what I get and when...

I've used them
I got my replacement radiator from them. Exactly the same as my old one. Good GM parts.

All I know is I found a replacement Power Antenna for my TA for $13. The problem is there is no description so I am not sure if it si the wiring harness for the antenna or the actual antenna. Guess I will have to call them. Dirt cheap though.

Reversing switched arrived on time in a GM box. Works like a champ. Looks like I will use them more.

Yes, definetly thanks for that link.. Higher priced then gmpartsdirect but with the much nicer shipping, works out better for the things I've looked.
If you're ordering multiple smaller items, looks like newgmparts.com will be cheaper because of shipping (in fact the things I'm ordering, I can get them next day air for cheaper then normal shipping from gmpartsdirect)
gmpartsdirect, because of lower price, works out better on the big ticket items (from my quick little test).

We'll see...
I just placed an order with them for two automatic transmission shifter plates that have apparently been discontinued (thirdgen parts being discontinued?! Someone call CNN!) I talked to Mike King and he told me that this plate comes with the shift indicator letters - I asked about this specifically, and his response was "IT HAS IT ALL " We'll see.
The price was $10 and change, and shipping was a little over $6 for standard ground. I'll update this once I receive the item.
- 89_IROC
PS - I'm looking for a brand-new or MINT 'IROC-Z' plate with silver letters for the rear bumper cover. I'll pay absolute top dollar for these pieces if anyone knows where I might find one. Before anyone says anything, I've tried Classic Industries, YearOne, gmpartsdirect, eBay, AND newgmparts.com - NOBODY has them in silver

Am I stupid, or is it hard to find a part of the wiring harness? I need a temp switch connector...

disregard my last post...
The shifter plate is discontinued and they have none in stock even though it's listed in their catalog; Mike tells me that all items are in their catalogs for reference purposes. That's a bit misleading, I think - it wouldn't be so bad if there was an 'out of stock' notification before the order was placed, but that isn't the case.

Car: 86 Aero TA
Engine: ZZ4
Transmission: T-56 Rear: Dana 44
FWIW: I did a comparison shopping test between them and GMParts Direct. I needed new air dams for my TAs. A 3-piece aero and 1-piece standard. At the same time I internet ordered the aero from GMParts Direct the 1-piece from New GMP. Both items were in stock at both places. I got confirmation from both aprox. same time. GMPD sent tracking # (DHL) first and telling me I would receive item on the 24th. Around 10am the 24th, I went to check the mail and at the front door there was the package. I did not hear a knock so there is no telling when it was delivered.
So far all I have received from NewGMP is a bad tracking # for USPS (post office) and unreturned calls. I guess the part is in limbo. So draw your own conclusions.
PS. The 3-piece came with instuctions and all the mounting hardware. (nuts bolts, etc.)

Bringing this one up from the dead... to drive a nail into the coffin!
Ok, their website looked good, and the guy on the phone seemed like a nice guy to work with.
But as mentioned already, they showed many parts available, that turned out not to be... eh
So I ordered a large, somewhat expensive part(which was supposed to be available) in late July. A couple of weeks later I called to findout where my order was, and... OOPS, they forgot to process it.
I called back about a week later to discuss the situation again, and I decided to re-order the part--supposedly still available. Everything seems fine, right? Well... he calls me back to say they can't process the order without more specific information about my car. I can't order a part that I want or like if it's not specific to my car(which it is)? What kind of bull is that? I see that as just another delay tactic, so I said to just forget it, and I cancelled my order.
Their prices seems good, but I'll pay for service over price anyday. So I'll never waste any more of my time with them. So far, the only thing they've done right is issue the credit back to my card.
They don't seem too "kosher" to me. I think they went to the same school of business practices as fbodymotorsports/thirdgenresource. So yeah, take your chances and draw your own conclusions.

Re: Has anybody ever used NewGMParts.com?
I realize this is a 3yr old thread, but has anyone else used them? They show brand new Firebird consoles for sale but that seems almost too good to be true. I also notice they list headliners, but it just says "headliner", no color or anything.
( They also show the GTA digital dash for $2200. )

I just discovered the site and i was wondering the same thing. I saw they had reclining bucket seats for $90?! but I didn't see an option to pick the colors
[edit] After looking at gmpartsdirect.com, I can see that the catalog is almost the exact same, but different parts and prices. They have the same seats for $60 and $50, but same issue with cloth or leather colors.

Re: Has anybody ever used NewGMParts.com?
Lots of places to get parts, I've used a bunch of them, and I also have also http://www.gmpartsclub.com with good results. They seem to have good prices and low shipping. All of these places have to have a GM connection to get new gm parts, like to a dealer or major service shop.
