I am just looking for a real nice quality hood that will fit well. My original hood is quite rusty and I am not a big fan of unsymetrical hoods. So I really have no prefrence on style, way it connects to the car or price.

If harwood makes the best plastic hoods for our cars, then why does it seem so many people have problems with them. Is that because I have only seen a a small number of testimonials or is it true? Also where would you go about getting a GM hood?

If i was to go to a junk yard to look for a hood, would any third gen bird hood fit right? Are the only differences the hood styles?

I have two Z28's. One is an 84 and the other an 85. I put an 86 hood on the 84 and it hangs over a little. Same with the back hatch. It doesnt quite fit perfect but they do work. I had to swap the hood latch for an 86 one.

I bought an ASCD Big Block hood and it fits pretty well on my 91 Z28.... Love the way it looks and I've gotten a lot of compliments. I ordered mine from Computer Nerds in Danville, CA.

the hood could have been warped or damaged in some way. ive never had any fitting issues with hood swaps from stock cars. you realize once you take the hood off you have to align it again to your car. some people dont realize this.
