Intro wheels

I was looking on the net for rims for my car (i am buying a new set this winter) and i came accross a company called Intro Wheels. They have a rim that i really like there but i dont think ive ever heard of this company before. Does anyone have any feedback on these guys? Any quality issues? Customer service issues? Just checking for warning flags before i get too attached to the idea of getting these new rims.

You suck! Oh well get them while you can cause no expenses wont last forever! They are sweet wheels and I think they would look hot on a Camaro. What size you plan on running? I like 17x9.5 all the way around.

on the rim i want they only offer whole sizes in 17's so i was thinking id go 10's out back and 9's out front. Here is a pic of the rims on a vette (just for effect) These are by far the nicest wheels ive ever seen my car is going to look incredible come next summer oh thats the other nice thing as much as i hate having winter 6 months of the year it gives me 6 months where i dont have any insurance to pay or gas or anything so i can just save and save.

Intro has been around for a little while, but not nearly as long as boyd, budnik, billet specialties, hre, etc. they use to go by a different name called hevyd's i believe. they also had a few leading designers that made up some of hre's top wheel designs, or so they claim. there are a few rim designs that they sell that aren't available through dealers or their website. you can find them at major indoor shows or through communication with them. a 2 piece hre 5 star look alike is one of them.

they make a nice quality wheel and are pretty competative with the prices. i know of quite a few people riding around with intro wheels on their trucks out here and they are very happy. also pick up any leading mini truck or truckin magazine and you will find a large assortment of vehicles riding on them. granted they do give a large price break to sponsored vehicles but it at least shows they are out there though.

they have a nice fit and finish which is good and they are friendly to deal with. had they made a wheel design similar to my own and i didn't know about boze i would have went with intro. i like the polish job better on my boze and customer service is the best it could possibly be so if you couldn't find anything by boze intro would be a very close second and boyd would be a good third choice.

good luck!

eh i like your wheels a lot but if im going to drop this kind of cash (im 17 i basically plan on saving my work money for like 6 months) id like to have something that is on no other third gen. Out of curiosity any idea how some of those guys get sponsored? My car is pretty clean but im in canada so i doubt theyd even consider it. Anyways thanks for the encouraging words i think im pretty set on these wheels they look incredible IMO.

i wasn't recommending my actual style.....i want to be the only one as well!

just commenting on the quality. see intro makes a really nice wheel as well which is good if you like a particular style they make although you have to understand that boyd uses a very very similar design and charges alot less.....you can find quite a few thirdgens with that wheel. if your going to spend what these wheels cost you should be absolutely happy with the wheel.

as far as sponsorship you will need some sort of reference as to what type of advertising you can get them. with all companies they look to be recognized so you will need some top show honors and at least a few ad spaces that you can promise them.

if it weren't for such chances i know my wheels alone would have been over 1,000 a piece with all the options......let's not even talk about the tire prices. luckily sponsorship through tires isn't too bad either.

Kandied: If you hadnt done such a good job on your car and all I would have to say YOU SUCK! Damn its a nice car though so I guess you deserve sponsors. Keep up the good work and give me your leftover used parts!

thank you i think....!

see the thing about sponsors is they want to know you will bring them business; so in essence you almost have to fork out everything first hand and prove you can do it.

my next project vehicle will cost me half of what this one has simply because of that rule.....it's a bad rule, but one all the same which is why you see these shops running around with 100,000+ cars and graphics all over.

another reason why i laugh at the younger kids putting decals all over their cars. the true builders hate to do it but when they are paying the bills sometimes you have to. which brings up another point. if your looking for tire sponsorship look to bfg or michelin....toyo makes you have really large decals on the cars which i'm not to fond of.

good luck.

im at the point where i like the intro pentia's more then anything else i have seen. If you guys would like to help me out could we make a list of every custom wheel maker you can think of, ive checked out boyd, HRE, budnik, billet specialities, boze forged, intro and i think thats it. My max price range is 1500-1700 dollars (not including shipping or anything just cost of the wheel) im always open to sugestions.

best bet is to pick up some lowrider and minitruckn magazines. look for vehicles with what you want and go from there. a good 40% of wheels that some companies carry aren't offered on their website.

i would think you can pretty much get almost any 17 out of those companies for your price range with all the options. 18's will be a hit or miss depending on what company and where you go.

pretty much all of them make great wheels, a few are nicer in different areas. just find something that fits your taste.

good luck.
