Question on Classic Industries' policies..
I recently took a trip down to LA and during the vacation made my way down to Huntington Beach to Classic Industries headquarter's and showroom. Now I've been searching for a gold IROC-Z rocker panel emblem for quite some time now. Fully disco'd from GM and also fully disco'd from Classic Industries. Now here I am sitting at their counter looking in their display case with one sitting there and a sign right above it clearly saying "Display items are not for sale". Now I realize that they have the right to reserve the selling of items but why would they not want to make money off the last remaining gold IROC-Z decal (that I have been able to find)..? Now I'm not bashing Classic Indust. here but I am questioning their ability to satisfy their customers by not selling something that CI doesnt really need that badly but their customers do need badly...

True, they COULD have sold you that one emblem and satistied one customer. They can also hold on to it and sub-contract with an aftermarket source and use that emblem as a sample to assure that the new ones are identical to the OEM emblem. Thousands of future customers (including you) are then satisfied. Not that I know for fact that is the case here. I'm just providing you with a plausible answer as to why they wouldn't want to part with their last remaining sample.
