Boycot Unlimited Performance Products!!

I recently purchased a 4 3/4in. cowl induction hood from UP22.com, an aftermarket hood manufacturer, and it was the worst experience I have ever had purchasing a part!! They sent me the hood with a nice 5 in. crack in the fiberglass on one side, not to mention the thing was constructed, molded, and primed like ****. It had nicks and scratched everywhere, and took more than a good prep job to paint. It took bondo and fiberglass repair, on a NEW HOOD!! When I tried to send it back with the crack, they wanted to keep 25% of what I paid for it, along with no refund for the shipping, FOR A DAMAGED PRODUCT. They even ignored complaints I filed with the better business bureau, and there horrible customer service was NO HELP. They wouldn't even let me speak to any one who actually was anybody in the company (supervisor / manager) unless "it was necessary." Do me and a lot of other people a favor and never give this company any business, AND SPREAD THE WORD!!!

Yes, I called them once and did not like the way they answered questions . They acted like I was bothering them. What a way to run a company. SO, It's dont ask , just buy and when you get it to bad for your problem...

OH and by the way

Order from Glass Tek. 630-978-9897 Torry or Rob , they were very heplful and tried to save me on shipping charges, so I am saving up to get hood, back hatch piece with Speed Glass and front windshield speed glass.
And shipping time is not 4-6 weeks on most stuff. Unless you custom order.

Hey guys, thanks for hearin' in on what I got to say. It's important that we let as many people know as possible, so point some people in the direction of this thread. I will probaly repost it a few times to help it get seen. I don't want anyone else to have to deal with this company, and this company needs to feel the heat.

can't comment on TPIS, but unlimited products is among the worst aftermarket manufacturers for quality and service. (next to GER transmissions of Pennsylvania of course)

I got a hood from them, for the 214 i paid i couldnt complain. However, the construstion sucked, and shipping took forever. The hood was damaged a while backand was un-repairable. I purchased a Cervinis hood and never looked back, even got another one for my 91. The 2nd one gave me some problems, the bolt hole inserts stripped out, I sent it back, they sent a new one and refunded my shipping charges once they verified it was their fault. Cool company, good service.

GlassTek makes really nice stuff from what I've seen. My friend got a cowl hood for his Malibu from them and it was perfect. I helped do the bodywork on his car & we barely block sanded it and it came out perfectly straight. The paint job is 5 years old now and the hood still looks great.

It's a little late, but I too had a similar problem with Unlimited. It took about 2 months for the hood to get here, when I did get it, the front point was worn off from being packaged and rested on the nose, and the back left corner near the passenger side windshield had about a 2-inch triangle broken off. When I called them, they refused to let me speak to any type of manager, and to get my money back, they said I'd have to ship it to them (with my own money) and some claims inspector would decide if I got my money back. I eventually got so fed up with them that I sent the thing to an early grave with the backside of a claw hammer and put in in a dumpster, since it was too damaged to install or even sell. I'd avoid them at all costs.
