DON'T waste your time w/a performance automotive K member for a 82-92 too long of a story to post but it doesen't fit worth a #$%^! at least 5 or 6 bad screw ups on thier part

Sorry to hear that man. I'm glad I cancelled my order for a PA and waited for a Road Tech K-Member. I hope everything works out for ya. I havent installed it yet, but I'm pretty sure its all gonna bolt up, if it doesnt, someone going to have some explaining to do, lol.

I'm curious to know too. I have a PA racing K member and it fits my car perfectly.

Well u wanted the story I'll try to keep it short. I ordered my K from raceware a parts outlet that handles PA stuff and it showed up around 5 days later, not bad. I got home from work and started to pull my car apart had a beer then opened the box and saw a chipped up p.o.s. 1st prob. I brought home a engine sling and hung my motor then dropped my stock K and installed the PA K. I started to check spring fit they wouldnt fit in the perch all the way prob 2. I then tried to put in dr side A arm and it rubbed on the main crossbar and the rear mount where they bolt together prob3. I called PA they said they would ship a new one out.cool no prob. Around 2 weeks go by I finally get my new one looks good,so I check springs no fit. A arm same probs as b4 so I install new one anyway to check steering linkage guess what? it rubs the main cross bar and motor mount up rights when the wheel is turned L and R and car is at ride hight prob 4. . I went ahead and shipped the 1st K back and fixed K #2 myself and then I find out they won't refund my money because it had been installed and chipped up????prob 5 So after many colorful calls I was pissed. FINALLY after abought 6-8 months got them to ship the first one back so now I've got 2 to fix at my cost prob 6. Ya I got the usual excuses your cars been wrecked (NO IT HASN'T) my A arm was bent and the best, the cars are shorter on one side?!?!?!?!?! That is the first prob I ever had w/a parts place EVER. ya a little more to story but ya get the pic. I just got finished helping my friend put the 1st K in his car thats what brought on my hatred again. REMEMBER YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!!!!!!!!

Strange. I've never heard of anyone else having a problem like this. Are you sure your car isn't tweaked in some way to cause this?

Ahh, I see. I thought it actually wouldn't fit on the car itself because mine bolted up perfectly. I too had the same problems with the stock A arms rubbing on the cross tube. I ended up getting their tubular A arms sooner than expected and it now fits perfectly.

But yeah, even though PA Racing says the stock A arms will work, they won't. I called PA about it and they said they use a factory K member jig so there isn't any way they could weld it wrong. Well it may not be welded wrong but I think they designed the whole package to use tubular arms and did not take the factory arms into consideration.

Again, I also had the clearance problem with the right side drag link rubbing on the right motor mount bracket. I had to notch it slightly for clearance.

Other than those 2 snags, the whole piece itself is pretty solid and I haven't had any durability problems so far.

I have been doing this stuff 4 a living 4 14 years and I know the defintion of performance part is it "doesn't fit". This K member had powdercoating flaking off it really no big deal but why would they ship out a product coated that has to be ground on, cut apart and stretched 3/8" so A arm will fit with out a major bind. I measured all my A arms I had lying around 6 pair and every one was within a 16th of an inch, my friends car too. Both K members I have were the same. DR side was 3/8"inch to short and about 3/16 to far forward where the A arm bolts to K member. there is room on the car where the K rear bolt is to move it back 1/2" if needed if my memory serves me right. not trying to run this into the ground just had to vent. thanks for all replies

Funny, guido's fit fine. The k-member i got from them worked fine for a friend that i ended up selling it to. Maybe your frame is tweaked. I've dealth with Jason and Vernon a couple times and they were nothing but helpful and courteous. PA has its parts on tons of race cars in many organizations....they aren't "junk". You just had a bad experience and you are entitled to it and your opinion.

You wanna hear about "junk" k-members? Go the mustang boards and ask them about junk k-members. They'll give you a very loooooooong list and the best ones are either built by AJE or PA

First off I'm not trying to be an a$$ it's just that when i called to tell them they needed to move dr side A arm back a little they started to get mouthy and give a bunch of excuses. I wasn't brought up like that . Anyway I had my car on a frame rack a couple years ago b4 I but on sfc's( my friend has a body shop)and it was as strait as it could be. The main prob I had had nothing to do w/a strait frame it was the A arm mount was to narrow front to rear on dr side (the arm rubbed bad front and rear of K ) causing th suspention to bind when you hit a bump ,it just didn't move freely like the pass side. If you have stock A arms go out in your garage and try to push your car up and down then do it on the pass side and you'll see what i mean. I have put in a bunch of K members in must and f body some are better some are worse this just happed to b my idea of very bad. I have never had to cut one up ( untill we got ours ) I couldn't use coilovers and tubular A arms like I wanted because i run 96 ram air rims on the street (spring would rub tire). I talked to aje at gateway in stl one year and he said he didn't recomend using stock springs and tubular A arms don't remember y 4 sure don't think he had done enough development work on them yet.
