New Company with 3rd Gen SS emblems
I just found this site and they carry the hard to find SS emblems for 3rd gen camaro's. They are licensed by GM so you can trust them. They also have emblems for 3rd Gen Firebirds too! Check them out at www.caprok.net/gtachuck/pages/camos3.htm

if they are gm authorized, how can you get ss emblems? i work at a dealer and if you want to order ss or firehawk emblems and even the ram air hood stickers. gm wants the vin to verify that you actually have a ss or firehawk or they won't sell them to you. and they also want what is left of the old emblems. my buddy wanted to put ss emblems on his z and they ran his vin, well of course it came up as a z and not an ss so they told him no dice. they told me the same thing when i asked about getting some ram air decals for my factory hood.

They never put American Thunder 3" Exhaust on them either, so I guess stock is good enough too huh?
There are a lot of people who have looked for those and haven't found them. I'm glad he posted it. Whether you like them or not is irrevelant.

I'm not the car police or anything, what you do to your car is your business, but in my opinion this borders on rice (a fake decal for a model that never existed). If your car runs 12's or 11's or anything impressive isn't what your car is enough?
I'm probably coming off wrong anyway, if you knew me you would know I'm not trying to offend but I agreeing with an above opinion which I happen to share.

Like I said I may have come across flaming people who get/want the SS emblem but I'm not. My point is, and ONLY is: what is the difference between us putting an SS emblem on and *****'s putting a Type R decal on a car that doesn't exist? How can we have it both ways, criticizing a fake Type R but not this? Only because they have an import?
Sheesh, my first semi-flame war in 10 years of surfing and I don't even mean it the way it apparently is coming out. Again, no offense meant!

I apologize to you who want the SS emblems and to Agressive Racer who was posting as a service to us. While I stand by my point/opinion, it did not belong in this thread; on this board and most of all it was not meant as a flame or attack. I obviously came off harsh on a point some/many disagree.
Sincere best wishes to you.

I thought the corvette l98 came with different heads

You guys just have to think, would you laugh if you seen a V6 mustang with GT-R emblems on it or a Civic EX with SIR emblems (they make both for both cars), ........... exactly
Aftermarket performance parts and after emblems are 2 different catagories, you cant even compare the two. If you have an RS, mod the hell out of that thing, then when those little ricers pull up to you and think RSs only have V6 engines, then it is your time to rip them a new ***hole.
But if you really really want an SS emblem, i think it would look alright with an SS style hood and a 91-92 hi rise spoiler.

Come on Guys!
But yet a current model front wheel drive GM car can wear them?
Its amazing that "SS" has been on every generation except 3rd.
Thats exactly the reason I plan to do it

Funny, the dealer I work for hasn't had any problem ordering a pantload of SS specific parts for conversions, along with WS6 parts for regular T/A's. Z06 wheels are another story. We need a VIN and insurance claim number.
