RR and Ebay ful<in suck!!!
So I am bidding on these q-form kick panels
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...368723950&rd=1
The bid was set for like 4 or 5 days, and no one had touched them because they were hard to find. You could not search by "q-form" to find these things, you had to search by camaro.. and you know that brings up a crapload of finds. Anyway.. im monitoring these things the whole time, I bid on em the day before, and while im at work my buddy and I are monitoring it down to the last 54 seconds. At that time their were no other bids. Well at 54 seconds, net access at work (Road Runner eats the peanuts out of my ****) dies!!!! Sadly at the time I was trying to increase my bid to $90 as a "just in case" scenario. Well its down for a freakin hour while tech support is trying to blame us and our router. Eventually they basically say " oh, my bad" and fix the shiyet. This eventually is an hour later. Well in 54 seconds, I would not have expected to lose that auction. If you look at the bid history you will notice that 2 ***** jumped in 10 mofukin seconds before the auction ended and outbid me. Needless to say I was PISSED!!!
I even wrote the bastard and basically told em to lick deez nuutz, then apologized later because it was essentially unbecoming of a gentleman to say such things when you lose. (I sure as hell meant them though) I really wish e-bay had some type of rule that prohibited that ****. Some 30 second rule or something where you cant jump in and just snag the item unless you were already bidding previously, or hell even something that shows howmany people were watching the item. (so you could atleast gauge how many jackals are waiting to do that 10 second shiyet)
So.. getting to the point, I lost the auction, sux to be me. So they wont close this thread, let me ask,
Does anyone know where I can get some "q-form" kick panels for third gens less than $200 ? (crutchfield.com has em for 200 but I just can't justify spending $200 or such miniscule pieces of plastic when I have not even picked up an MSD ignition yet).

Ive got q forms and door speakers, the q forms are not what they are made out to be in my opinion. My door speakers have way more bass and sound much better.

How does that not make sense, if you did not bid before the last 30 seconds of the auction, you don't get a chance to bid unless their is only on bidder so far or you had already bid on the item atleast once. Its just an idea. Don't stew over it to much, just telling my story..

That's why you need to decide up front how much you're willing to pay, and place your proxy bid at that amount. You waited too long to place your "just in case" bid. I have won several ebay auctions using the last second bid method. No one has ever emailed me to call me names though.

You should really think about what you are complaining about. E-Bay is an AUCTION, and in an auction the highest bidder wins. It is well known on E-Bay that most people don't bid until the last minute. I've had many items sold and they sit for 4-5 days with no bids, then in the last hour, people jump on it. That's the way the game is played....and to send a message to the winner saying what a sore loser you are, well that's just pathetic.:nono:
And wouldn't your employer love to know that you are using your time wisely...and bitching about the server to boot!

I am quite aware of how e-bay works.. been with them for years, I simply felt like sharing my story as it pissed me off. Additionally you will note that I apologized to the winner of the auction simply because "thats the way the game is played" and I am not a sore loser (it just seemed like a good idea at the time... anything seems like a good within the five minutes after the event occurs). And oh.. actually the buddy was my boss, who turned me on to the kick panels in the first place. The whole point of this was " where can I get some comparably priced q-forms?" . Seems the question was lost in the story.

That's the only way I bid. I add item I want to my watch list. Once it is ending day of auction, I get a reminder e-mail. I then make myself a note and bid at the last possible second to insure a win and avoid raising the price of item with a bidding war.
I just bought a nitrous kit from e-bay, and some dude e-mailed me wanting to buy the auction from me ( If it was someone here, sorry man). I outbid him using that last second bid technique. It was the last piece we both needed to complete modifications and I got it for a sweet price.

another option for bidding that could be done is what some other auction sites do. The auction has a "loose" ending point. The winner wins only after 10 minutes of no activity. So if 10 seconds before the auction is supposed to end somebody tries to steal the auction, they can't because the auction will only end after the 10 minutes of no bidding activity.
