No one else has an opinion on these tires? I know someone has to have owned these tires.

I love the Ultra Z's. I have had Goodyear Eagle GSC's, BF Goodrich Comp TA ZR's and now these. For the price I think they are really good and I've heard they will outlast my old Comp TA ZR's in treadwear.

I have the Ultra Z's. Just put them on before Xmas. I think they're great tires for the money. They have AA traction, 6 ply construction, 300 wear rating. I had the H-rated tires before these and the Z's made more of a difference than I expected in how the car drove and handled.

Considering I got my Falkens on clearance for $99 a piece which were WAY better than my Futuras that were on there beofre, I'd have to say that $100 each for Futuras is kinda steep, but thats my opinion.

I just replied to the similar topic on this board. The picture of the Ultra Z on the Pep Boys site must be one of the smaller sizes as they look nothing like mine. I ended up going to the Cooper Tire site, then to the Cobra ZHP chart to find the picture that is my tire. Pep Boys Futura Ultra-Zs are made by Cooper Tire. My tires are 245/50-16 on the front and 255/50-16 on the rear.

check out www.tirerack.com and look for Yokohama AVS Intermediates, These are quite possibly one of the best tires around and you won't believe how cheep they are.

Guys, I messed up when I said my tires looked like the Cobra ZHP. I wrote the wrong number down before I replied above. I was under my car most of today and thought I better recheck my earlier post. My tires look like the GTZs, which, if you compare the picture on the other thread is pretty close, if not that tire. My mistake. Sorry. Still decent tires.

I am on my second set of Futuras, i have no major complaints, they rate pretty high in the bang for your buck category.
One correction though, they arent made by Cooper Tire, they are made by Cornell.
$102 is a decent price, you can find better tires on clearance if you really look around though ( like SLP selling take off GSC's for $99)

I had been told some time ago that Cooper makes the Ulta-Zs. After my screw up in the above posts, I thought I had better be sure on this therefore I e-mailed CustomerRelations@Pepboys.com and asked who made their tires.
Their reply (from Shantel Murray) was Cooper makes Futura AND Cornell tires.

Funny, last I heard Cooper was American. Michelin-French,Kelly-American(I think they're owned by Goodyear), Pirelli is still Italian. Should I go on--------Einstein

You probably think the Firestone is American too! Let's face it, a lot of tires that are made in America are made in plants owned by the Japanese.
