the cerivinys ( dunno how to spellin it) hoods r good condition. there steal renforece and r all white gel coated. my brother bought one for his 86 spoute coupe and the thing still shines with the gel coat on. he bought it at the eglish town swap meat last yr. its just a regular cowl hood but all the hoods that they brought with them were nice quality. i dunno about the ascd i think u said but ive also heard they r good too. i think it might come down to ur personal prefrence and shippin and price. later

Im not a fan of either of the two, Cervini makes a nice 3 inch cowl hood that Im gonna invest in sometime this year, but dont go by my tastes, I tend to be very conservative...

THERE'S ALSO ANOTHER RAM AIR HOOD AT HAWK'S IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN. IT'S ON THAT WHITE CAR, LOOKS SIMILAR TO THE HOODS ON THE LATER FIREBIRDS. I WAS THINKING ABOUT THAT ONE, IT RUNS FOR $515. PLUS SHIPPING. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT THAT HOOD? ANY COMMENTS?

I saw that one to I like it. A lot of people have said it does not look right on our cars. I like it though I think by the time you get the ram air hood to be functional (get it cut outit's like abou$550) and with shipping to Philly,Pa it would be like an extra $60 or so. 600+ is Just a little to expensive for me.

I have an ASCD Ram Air hood for my Formula 350 and I liked the finish of the hood the underside is nicely done but fit is a little rough. Just to get the hood to close I had to shave off of the back sides and move my fenders out a little. That is on a Bird though they are harder to fit cause of the headlights. My .02 cents too!

I have the Ram Air II hood (which is the white one for $515 at hawks, except I got mine from USBody). I love it, I made it functional (which was a pain, lol), but well worth it. If your not into that kind of style, I like the ASCD SS hood and any 2-3in cowl hood. That new joengblood one looks sweet that's supposed to be coming out.

That is a nice lookin' IROC ramairZ! Do you have any pix of what you did to make that hood functional? I am going to do that to my ASCD Firebird hood but I don't know where the MAF sensor goes. Thanks.

I made my own aluminum intake, it sits against the back of the hood and flows the air straight into my carb. It works great, but I'm taking the intake and making a round piece on the end that will sit over the filter to trap the air in to force ALL the air into the engine.

Thanks alot. I've been working alot to keep adding to her. I just had my Irocs polished, ordered my clear side markers and a 91-92 Z28 high rise spoiler, with alot to come in the beginning of the summer as well. Thanks again.
