nitto 555R drag radials

i am look'n for some new tires. i was considering the bf goodrich g-force t/a kd's or the nitto 555r's. i was at a local tire store and they said they just had a guy w/ a vette put em on and they heard back from him and it made .30 differnce in his 1/4 times. so lets say i'd be run'n a 14.2 instead of a 14.5, can the nittos make that kind of a differnce?

It does make a difference. I was running 14.20's with 2.2 60 ft. times. I put on a set of Nitto drags and ran 14.00. And that is only one pass on the tires. I pulled a 2.07 60 ft. with them at 15 pounds of air. I think they will do even better than that. They are definately worth the money. I would buy them. Are you running a 350 or a 305?

I would go with the Nitto's man. Go to discount tire direct.com and buy them. For two tires shipped by ground, the total cost was $172.31. But, the price is well worth it.

If you don't have any traction problems on street tires than they won't make any difference. If however you are not hooking up then yes the Nitto's will hook you up and reduce your 60ft and 1/4 mile times.

chevypower, you should definately see some gains then.
I managed to pull a best 60 ft of 1.79 when I had a different convertor on the Nitto's. You should like them.
